Mass Effect/Mass Effect 2 Save Games

Hi, I was wondering about taking your savegame from mass effect into mass effect two,How advanced is it?

Does everything i do in the first game affect the second game,is it only dead characters don't appear etc?

I've heard some people saying you have to take a certain route through the first game for it to have a Major impact on the second.

I Really enjoyed the first game was one of my all time favourites,but it would be kind of annoying if my save game had little or no impact on the second.

OnAnother Subject:How many characters can die in the first game? i only got to choose between ash and kaidan,but some people have said that wrex,tali,and liara can die to?

I did take the good guy approach in the first game by acceptingall crew members aboard and all,so maybe thats why there not dead lol :D

Is it worth playing through the game a second time on the evil side?

I thought of a way for them to do it without having to do anything special and diverse for the second game, but anyway we won't know until we see how it is.

If i remember correctly only the story parts will transfer. Like do you save this person or kill that person? And stuff like that.

Well, Bioware said that Mass Effect 2 would incorporate 100s of choices from the original.

Well like i said the story choices will be moved over while things like "level" and equipment and so on won't. So in the end you only need to play the game once. =(

Actually, you're level will transfer. That's why they doubled the cap to 120.

It will? Last i heard they would not do that... But then again that was a long time ago... Oh well thats great news :p! I might go and level the 4 last levels in that case...

I seem to recall that Shepard can reject the other characters while in dialog - the only exception being Kaiden (and maybe Ashley, don't know if he complains if the Captain would dump her or not).

If you save a person or kill a person they will or won't be in the 2nd game. Another example is "Do you save the council or make the humans rule the council?"

Anyway my guess is the beginning of Mass Effect 2 will be a flashback. If you have a save file you just watch it like a cut scene. If you don't then it become interactive and you get to make the key choices that will effect your game.

Well, then you might have to replay the first. Bioware has a pre-set campaign for those who didn't play the first, but we don't know anything about it. I killed the Counsil too, but for the survival of the fleet, not my own gains.

i saw a interview with someone making the game and they said there would be little or no look back at the first game in the second because mass effect was definetly going to bea trilogy before they even made the first one and if u want the full detailed story u have to buy the first game

as long as you have played the first and have a good idea of the story then you'll be ok story wise

but i'd play through again so u can get a save game to make your own story!

I wonder how many more people are going to post in this thread who obviously haven't bothered to take the time to read the responses. People keep asking questions and making comments about things that were answered earlier in the same post.

well i need to play through the game on PC so i can get the second on PC

is there a way to save Wrex as a total renegade? cause i know you have to charm him which needs paragon points
