I for one am excited about this new installment of MechWarrior. Yes, the developer is unproven, but that doesn't mean they can't make a good MechWarrior. I think the dev of Fallout 3 was highly doubted by fans of Fallout, but they definately proved that they can make a good Fallout game for sure.
This MechWarrior definately looks more simmy than MechAssault. I am also pretty sure that there is locational damage since the Atlas got his arm blown off and it also looked like his autocannon got disabled. I am going to be optimistic about this game and I hope that it will be a TRUE MechWarrior, not some arcadey piece of crap like MechAssault.

According to this, the developer[Piranha] has a pretty impressive resume.....
"According to Voodoo Extreme's teaser, Piranha Games will be developing the MechWarrior title, though no platforms were specified. Based in Vancouver, Canada, Piranha was formed in 2000 and has contributed to a number of high-profile titles, including Medal of Honor Heroes 2, Need for Speed Undercover, and the recently released Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Pirahna's Web site also notes that it is currently working on "a AAA licensed franchise on the Xbox 360, Wii, and PS3."
Sounds like they have a track record to me...hope I'm not mistaken.
