Yah something must be wrong with your computer. I can run the game on high/very high at 1680x1050 directx 9 with a single 8800gt.

You either dont know which card you have or you are lying.Dude i'm tottaly playing Metro with ease on Medium and on high It plays but is a bit laggy not to bad only when a lot on screen. It's mainly becuase my X6 core cpu beaing a beast of a CPU i'm sure. Like I said I can get a new card and that is my plan. And no I can get a cheap power supply off neweag and also snag agood GPU off on Amazon or Neweag And I bet i'll only spend about $300
Right here
$59 730W Power Supply. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817152036
$149 here is a nice card for now. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121390
And I can go for a 580 when they come down in cost in about a year.

It gives a MAMMOTH 8 FPS in medium settings in crysis and you are playing metro 2033 with it? The above system had a core i7 btw, CPU cant do jack if the GPU sucks that bad.
That power supply is junk but it seems to me you arent really willing to learn anything so I guess I am done here.
Getting a CPU 0.1 ghz faster is no big deal at all but the GPU you have now is not a gaming GPU. There is absolutely no chance in hell it can run metro 2033 in medium let alone high settings so I didnt even have words to describe that.[QUOTE="Gambler_3"]

Why would this be a face palm:?

Why did you jump the gun on your previous PC? And why not just get a replacement card? A new PSU and high end graphics card would set you back around $500 which will take the cost of your PC to around $1300, clearly not a good deal.
If you are actually playing metro in any settings at all then you dont have a 5450.

You do know that Metro 2033 doesnt even utilize quad core CPUs, why would it gain any benefit from a hexcore. Heck when i played it with a low end dual core from 2008 metro wasnt even using that fully. You are pretty much full of it, a 5450 is completely unable to handle what you are claiming unless maybe you are playing on a lower resolution than a cell phone.[QUOTE="MortgageMan007"][QUOTE="Gambler_3"]Getting a CPU 0.1 ghz faster is no big deal at all but the GPU you have now is not a gaming GPU. The GPU was messed up. So rather having to wait and send it back or even deal with it. I went and got a new tower same spec 1ghz fast 2.7 over a 2.6 same 8gig ram tbhd just the card is lower now a 5450. Yes I know the card is weak but my intentions anyway was to add a much better card anyway. So I save over $100 with the new tower and weaker GPU and will upgrade soon to a nice card.
And yes I can play Metro decent on Med settings and I can play it on high to just see how nice it looks but like I said I can not keep it on high becuase it will start to chug with lots on screen. Si in the next few months i'm going to drop a nice 480 in or hope the 580 start to drop in price sooner rather then later.
... wow just wow. what a huge downgrade. All for .1 ghz faster cpu? rofl, that makes little to no difference. Basically you were a fool unwilling to simply RMA a gpu. What makes no sense is you're willing to use a crappy card for a few months instead of simply rmaing your gpu which would take just a few weeks? I have no words for this.

I have a hard time believing that list. I can play crysis on Medium with about 25fps at 1680 by 1050 with my 4650Both crysis and warhead have quite inconsistent framerate, benchmarks usually try to go for the most demanding situations. Like in crysis warhead I was able to play with anti-aliasing in the first few levels but then later it became horrible and I had to disable it.I have a hard time believing that list. Letme benchmark my card in medium settings at 16x10 in the most demanding buit in bechmark.
In DX10 medium at 16x10 I got 45 FPS and in DX9 I got 50 FPS. Now it is possible that DX10 severely bottlenecks your card but this list seems legitimate to me. And remember metro 2033 is MUCH more demanding than crysis which is the point of posting that.
I downloaded and installed the Metro 2033 demo. I kept my settings at 1440x900, DX9, AAA, 16xAF, High. I was able to get low-30's fps at the first part outside where there was a huge herd of mutants. At the first level where the little hand-operated rail car was being pursued by mutants, the frame rates were in the low-40's which was more than playable for me.
That's with the PC in my sig. The 5770 isn't that much quicker than a 5750.
Anyway, I'm happy with the quality at DX9, High, AAA, 16xAF, 1440x900
