As a PC user I would like the idea too. But I am sure it would not happen, because of piracy rates. What's the point of porting the game knowing probably more than half of it's user will not pay for it. I am sure top games will stop making their way to the PC in the future.KwasiAsiedu
By that rationalization why port anything to PC? Ever? Clearly there are many devs who do think PC gaming is worth while.
That said I doubt it, MGS4 will only appear on platforms with considerable incentives, that's when Sony's existing contract runs out.

yeah i wish they end that crap right her and release pc games...NOW.MGS was marketed to only be on playstation, why bring it to PC?
What about the original metal gear.... MX86 computer ring a bell? What about the original Metal Gear solid? PC port anyone? And MGS 2 Substance? Ported. They haven't done MGS 3 to my knowledge, so it might come out one day, but don't hold your breath.MGS4 would play fabulously on the PC - incredible graphics being even better on a PC, and with the keyboard we will have much more fluid control over snake than I had on the PS3 a while back. The issue is that MGS4 is centred around hugely long cutscenes, and unless you have a widescreen, high def TV and an amazingly comfortable chair, I wouldn't ever think of watching them on the PC. Of course you can skip the cutscenes but that's just cutting out the whole story.
Sure it would play nicely, but the overall experience will be somewhat bleh on the PC.

That's the thing for me, it woul work well because I have my PC hooked up to an HDTV, and I have a spare ps3 controller. However, I am a relatively small market. Besides, I'm probably getting a ps3 anyway. I do also have to agree with poor controls for MGS on the pc, unless you have a controller!MGS4 would play fabulously on the PC - incredible graphics being even better on a PC, and with the keyboard we will have much more fluid control over snake than I had on the PS3 a while back. However I don't think it's likely that we'll see a PC port for several reasons:
1) Size. It was announced that the game used up the full size of the Blue ray disk. That's 50 Gigs. While I've no idea if or how much it could be compressed you'd still realistically be looking at 5+ DVD's and a potential huge installation size.
2) Given the already huge size it's unlikely that they'd be able to increase the texture quality and resolution (doing so would drastically increase the already large size of the game). By NOT increasing the graphical quality they'd be loosing one of the possible advantages of a port.
3) I would imagine that the conversion would be fairly complex given that code was written to take full advantage of the PS3's architecture.
MGS4 on PC would be awful... look at the MGS2 port if you need any further proof. MGS is one series that just was not meant for the keyboard and mouse.FunkyhamsterAnd thus, you pull out of nowhere your Logitech Rumblepad 2. :o O snapz.

[QUOTE="kruesader"]I doubt Sony would let it happen, name some exclusives that they have let be ported before.HellboardActually they never por to pc :( Exactly, they have very little reason to, an exclusive is worth more than the sales on a ported version.
