Guys I was just curious as to why you think the CoD or BF franchises have never ventured into the RTS realm. I mean I bought Company of Heros from STEAM this weekend for $2 and the game is simply amazing. I would certainly think that in the right hands, these two prized modern miltary franchises would both make excellent RTS games. Your thoughts?

I'm really suprised there hasn't been a CoD RTS yet. I guess it's not console friendly enough for Activision to make.

I wouldn't mind seeing a BF RTS though. Frostbite 2 tech and Company of Heroes gameplay? Count me in.

An RTS Battlefield could really be awesome with the whole frostbite 2. I would definitely give that game a try if it ever happened!

This would be awesome and they wouldn't have to hold back on destruction the entire map could be totally leveled without restriction in the game

No RTS franchise has surpassed Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour yet.

I think right now the closest you are going to get to a modern miltary RTS is World in Conflict, C&C Generals, or Act of War: Direct Action. Also there is a modern military mod being made for Company of Heroes, but honestly who knows when that will be released.

Red Alert 2 Yuris Revenge had the best mp in any C&C game, after that it went downhill, generals/zh was still ok but no where near as good as YR. (No wonder the first C&C that was made by EA...)

Disputable. World in Conflict has better graphics and is just as good as Company of Heroes - in a different way :)

World in Conflict is basically a RTS version of battlefield. Even the music is similar to BC 2.

Yeah, I think World In Conflict should fit that bill pretty well... speaking of which, I wish they'd do another one.

AoW holy hell I haven't heard of that game meantioned for along time. I wish I could find my cd. And they don't need a bf rts, just another CoH or WiC, or even supreme commander but bring it back to modern or maybe even slightly futuristic, just not sci-fi as it was. I would love a full scale huge map modern rts like supcom. When i first saw the trailer for that game and the air transports I thought it was infantry being dropped, not mechs and **** So basically for me it'd be CoH on a supcom level
