I'm just curious.

I've seen a lot of different MMO's come and go. Many of them never get off the ground, plagued by bugs, poor "fixes" (I didn't get to SWG before the new game enhancement, but I heard from lots of people who did), and the like.

But they all advertise the same thing: diverse worlds. Plenty of customization. Freedom.

And they all end up with the same things: grocery lists, same old class system with different names, etc.

So, here's my question. What is it that you guys have always wanted in an MMO?

I, personally, have always thought it would be sweet to have fewer "grocery list" quests and more actual storyline/world, or even set the players in a digitized version of great britain or something. Have larger "battles" and smaller quests, but don't make them hunt down five mutated rats. Please.

How about you guys?

More non-fighting quests would be fun. Maybe to hunt down someone, steal something, or search for stuff. Also, huge battles would be soo epic.

no quests at all. Just a place to role-play. Like a muich more structured and topic based second life.

well im not up for the britian, but do actually create a new world that hasnt been done a million times over, and i dont mind killing 5 mutated rats, but make it actually part of the story and not some oh hey you need 5-6 credits/copper/gold/dollars, whatever, so here go kill these rats, come on game developers put some effort into it, draw us into a freaking world, dont let your tools out do you... the tools are getting better and the devs are slacking, and publishers need to but-out and let the devs actually develop a game for gamers, instead of just for profit....
