I guess its another reason to get it on console and ive been pretty torn.Kurushio
there are zero reasons to get it on console....at least i haven't heard a decent reason to.
Well, looks like I won't be buying this one.EinhanderkillerSame here. They're testing the waters to see how many people they can get to pay that much. If enough people give in and pay the $60 - the other developers will start thinking about raising prices on their games too.
Haha at everyone who says they wont buy a $60 PC game...you will soon enough, when every game is $60.DeathStar17I wont. I hardly buy any games at $50 anyway. Just wait a few months til the price goes down.

I can think of one reason: No worries about what DRM it might have. With Windows/Mac games nowadays, that in itself is something you have to research before buying ANY game now. To the shame of many PC games, I'd flat out refused to buy the computer version because I refuse to put up with insane DRM, or something that can't be worked around. There's simply no reason in this day and age that something that isn't so goddamn intrusive can't be worked out with these companies.[QUOTE="mudman91878"][QUOTE="Kurushio"]I guess its another reason to get it on console and ive been pretty torn.codezer0

There's simply no reason in this day and age that something that isn't so goddamn intrusive can't be worked out with these companies. What is this "insane" DRM you are talking about? because it uses a pretty standard DRM and anti-cheat system for most shooters and nobody every had problems with IW's CoD, not with actually running the game anyway, but Treyarch's CoD.....yeah, console developers at their best. You don't have to research anything since games and DRM systems work, no matter how annoying they are (I don't know what you've heard, Securom is a necessary evil that we have to put up with, but Starforce that was the devil, good thing they never used it anymore) all you have to know is if your system can handle it and if you're telling me you are lazy enough not to bother to look at some requirements, then yeah you probably need the console version...for any game.Other than the DRM issue (and being lazy) I don't see any other reason, any decent reason, so...yeah let's buy shooters on consoles because they have no DRM.
Well, that's inflation for you. It isn't like games were going to stay at $50 forever, especially when development costs keep going up, even after adjusting for inflation.
That said, I don't buy most games at their release price anyway, and certainly not COD since first person shooters are kind of irrelevant to me.

it will most likely sell 1 million copies on day 1 and 5 mil within its first week. what that translates into? the complaints are pointless, that's what.
I somehow doubt it very much, but who knows it might be at a special price on Steam or a special offer at a store :P.thats why im planning on buying cod mw when mw2 comes out lol. it should drop to a mellow 30 (FINALLY) and ill have something to hold me off for a while.

yeah it sucks there are no royalties to be paid on pc why do we need a 60$ game i hope this does not become the norm as that would suck and to does who say its only 10$ more not a big deal those 10$ add up over time and why would you not be against paying more!?
You know I don't pirate, all the games I have on my computer and steam where bought with my hard earned bones. But games start costing $60 I might pay for a single online game I am interested in, but i'll just get my fix in other ways for the single player games. Because I want to play the game, but the premium makes games harder to purchase. I used to purchase more console games as well but seeing that $60 price point actually discourages me and makes me consider my purchase THAT much more. It might not seem like much but theres a psychological difference between 49.99 and 59.99, a HUGE psychological difference(I used to buy new, but now I might buy used instead). Gimping the used game experience just makes me want to ignore a series altogether. I got Resistance 1 used, liked it so I went ahead and bought Resistance 2 new. If part of the original Resistance campaign was missing I wouldn't of had bothered getting it used and I would of never purchased the sequel new.
It also drove me to game fly i nthe console realm, but used games and game fly does not exist in the PC realm.
