Theres so many to choose from its kinda confusing. Basically i want a 22" lcd monitor for my pc, i want it full hd (1920x1080) and 2 ms response time. Also no more than £140 please. If you could find me a decent one from a uk site that would be great ^^

Overclockers UK is a decent site I've used a few times over the last few years for ordering parts and my latest monitor -BenQ G2420HDBL 24" Widescreen LED Monitor

That is slightly above your price range, but there is a slightly smaller version with the BenQ G2222HDL 21.5" Widescreen LED Monitor for £130 +Delivery

There are quite a few other monitors on the site, though not many that fit your requirements for 1080p, 2ms response and sub £140, but you might see something you like. Overclockers have a weekly deals section which changes every Wednesday (I think) so check back from time to time and the monitor you want might get a price drop.

Other UK sites worth checking out are Dabs, Scan and ebuyer (for some reason Gamespot keeps giving me errors when I add those as links)

I am looking to upgrade too, do they make one of those in a 24 inch or a 25.5 inch? (or anywhere in between of course)?

I am in the United States btw.

No.

But this would definitely be an adequate monitor for gaming though right?

It would be an excellent choice for the price. If you want the best 30" the price would triple.

Thanks desertpython and avenger for your feedback, i've been looking at overclockers and amazon actually, and the BenQ models definitely caught my eye. Now amazon is really confusing, it seems like they cannot get the specs right, for example desertpython that link shows on description 2 ms, but in the details say it is 5ms? lol, anyway cheers guys, also what do you think about the Iiyami range? Are they good?

The liyami range is good too, and ignore the response time. You won't see any blur/smearing.

They are both fine. Pick the one you want - that 3 year model on the liyama may be more important. Either way when you do buy it get the drivers off the manufacturer's website or windows update and then calibrate the monitor; just type in calibrate in the start menu.

Hmm I will have to do this once, I get my new monitor,

Also when I give my current monitor to my gf, we are gonna try calibrating it by doing exactly that.

Leakage would be backlight leakage depending on the viewing angle, I don't think it would be a big deal. The liyama has a 3 year warranty, not sure about the BenQ, so the choice is up to you. Calibration involves gamma, yes, and Windows 7 will walk you through it so to speak.

Isnt it just designed to calibrate the colours, like the shades of gray etc and not the actual screen position?

True, otherwise you can use the menu controls and adjust the controls yourself.

I wouldn't bother. AOC makes some truly horrible cheap monitors to keep the price down.

Respond back and let us know how good the picture is, and how well it is with games, dark ones, and colorful ones, if you don't mind :). I am very interested to hear how you like it.

I am interested in hearing what you think of it also and if it has backlight bleeding problems. I hate LCD and LED monitors. They are mostly garbage right now I think unless you get lucky.
