Now, this is a bit long, but please bear with me...

Right, so, At first it happened the other day after I accidentaly turned of my power strip with my toe. The monitor, is on and everything, but when the computer starts, it just goes into standby mode and the green on light turns orange. I turned my computer off and on a couple of times and it finally came back. I ignored the message thinking it was just the standard one that you get when the computer is turned off inappropriately, and started as normal, went about my buisness then quit for the night. I shut off the computer correctly like I usually do.
Today I go to turn on my computer, and then my monitor, and the same thing happens. It says 'No Signal' and then goes into standby mode like before. The computers on, but the monitor wont display anything. I tried a few times, turning the computer on and off again, and it finally worked (I got a message about CPU fan not working but I fixed that. There were just some wires in the way cause I was tinkering around inside my computer to see if I could fix the monitor problem. So this is fixed, but I'm just telling you anyway.). But this time I looked at the screen you get when turn your comp off wrong, and it said something about windows failed to start, and to put my disk in and select repair. So I put my disc in and restarted but I got the same thing and realized that it wasn't booting from the disc. So I restarted again to get into BIOS and change it, but this time it went back to doing the same thing again, with the monitor not displaying.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that I checked all cables and plugs and connectors, and all thats fine. Still doesn't work.
I turned the computer off and on again a few times to no avail...And here I am...Any ideas on how to fix this?
Any help will be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance.
