More than 2 GB RAM for windows, useless?

2x 1gb is a good price, you'll have one ready if you need it or you, overclock too much you have a spare, you can always sell the other gb to a friend

I've got 2gbs on vista and it's using 50% just viewing this page so 3gb might be useful for games or if you run loads of background aps

FYI...Windows Vista 32bit (and maybe XP) can see at min 3ram (I think up to 3.5ram but not sure on that).

64bit can see much more but I forget the total, something like 16ram.

The amount vista 32bit sees depends on the memory on your video card it can see 4gb max of RAM including VRAM, flash memory and CPU cache.
