Vietcong 2, coz the original blew me away. I expected the already proven developer team to give everyone a good lesson. Why the hell would they give up the best weapons physics engine ever, not bested to this day! Not only does the sequel suck, but even the poster is crappy.
Dungeon Lords, nuff said... i did enjoy the game, but it was anything close to what i had hoped for, and so many bugs...

Fair enough. I apologize. I happen to find those games very addicting and fun to play. I respect your opinions. Here's mine:
Not the worst, not even average...but very disappointing. Capcom turned Resident Evil into all action without FEAR or any sense of dread in the air. I miss the old Resident Evil games. I hope RE6 will turn back to its roots, RE: Code Veronica styl-e.
- Modern Warfare2 and COD3, horrible call of duty games that are a slap in the face to the other good games in the series. Thank god COD4 and Blackops are good games though, with much better balanced online play, which COD is mainly for. Not to mention they have decent campaigns unlike MW2's horrible one.
- Assassins Creed - Everything is there to make a masterpeice, but repetative gameplay, poor dialogue, characters and story. Nice graphics are not enough to save this series, so much potential to. The setting is there to make a very good game but they just didnt do it justice in any of the games imo.
- Gothic4 - Nothing really needs to be said about this turd.
- Two Worlds 2 - Looked very fun but wow, what a terrible game. One of hte worst rpgs ive played in 20+ years. Thank god the 2nd one is improved ALOT.
- Oblivion - I have played every elderscrolls game and have been a hue fan. Daggerfall and Morrowind are two of my all time fav games, Arena was very good to. Oblivion though just didnt do it for me, everything seemed so dumbed down and like my hand was being held and guided alot mroe then in previous installments. Not a horrible game by any means (alot of mods on pc make it alot better), but just dissapointing to me when compared to the other games in the series.
- Operation Flashpoint DR: Loved the original game and love the ARMA and ARMA2 series, but hated this OP game. I came in with a positive attitude about it and hoping they would do it justice but it was sooo bad in every single way. ARMA and ARMA2 I can still go play, but this epic fail not at all.
- Demon Souls: Here I was all excited to play this new rpg that I was hearing so much about. RPGS are my fav genre and after playing Risen and Dragon Age I was ready for another high quality rpg, but this jsut dissapointed me in every way. No story at all, boring characters, overrated difficulty and overrated graphics. The one good thing about this game was the online intigration and the controls. But I was expecting GREAT things from this GOTY at gamespot, but I felt forced to play it, would much rather play an old Gothc game, diablo or pretty much any pc rpg then this.

Yeah, it's a shame. I got Supcom2 during the steam sale just because of that image.

You wrote Two worlds 2, but you seem to refer to the original.
I agree with everything on your list especially Demon Souls. I understand it's "hardcore" and "brutal" difficulty is it's selling point, but funny, it didn't sell too well. But those that praise it highly, I could understand... just wasn't for me. I thought it was beyond average. I play games for fun, not to die 12 times just to get to the boss. If that makes you cool, i'd rather not be cool.- Modern Warfare2 and COD3, horrible call of duty games that are a slap in the face to the other good games in the series. -Deus Ex: Invisible War
Aside from the watered-down gameplay, the story was the most disappointing aspect of this game as it was quite unbelievable and poorly linked to the previous game - as many have said, they may as well have changed the characters' names around and gave the game a different name.
Command and Conquer Generals:
After playing this I began to greatly dislike EA. After liquidating Westwood for dubious reasons, they proceeded to bastardise the CnC series by slapping the title on a completely different game. It is hugely unbalanced, unrealistic and takes a child's view of international peoples and power. At least if it had gotten the setting and story right I would have had some appreciation for it. I consider no EA-developed CnC game to be canon with the series.
StarCraft II:
It's a great game, but oh so disappointing for me as I was hoping for some form of originality. SC2's popularity comes with it's basically being a graphical update for the original, causing it to discourage any alternative competitive titles in the genre. I would expect Blizzard, with their kind of funds, to innovate, but they decided to please the fanbase and go with the flow. Don't listen to me though, drink the kool-aid and go to a happy place.
Initially it seemd fun, but after finishing the inane campaign and getting frustrated by glitches, bad map design, hackers and imbalanced killstreaks/perks online, MW2 just seals the deal for me as one of the most dissapointing games I played in recent memory. I am very selective about what I buy and this was just dissapointing when thinking about what it could have been.

Excuse me?
Everyone has their opinion. SCII is overrated. Gameplay is no more than that of an average RTS.
I really hate to say this, but:
Weak writing, badly designed puzzles, annoying firefights, no new weapons or abilities... I felt these games were lacking a huge amount of quality in comparison to Half-Life 2, which, as a die-hard fan of the series, was tremendously disappointing.

And I feel bad for going with this game, but Mass Effect 2. I went from beating ME (1) roughly 6 times to not even wanting to do a second playthrough of ME2. The story felt a whole lot weaker than the first. They removed an inventory, a ton of skills, and weapon / armor upgrades. While the gameplay and controls (played on the 360) were way better I was really expecting ME2 to be feel more like a RPG and not an action game with a story.
Reason I think the story is weaker
- You learn the Collector's are Protheans and for some reason this point is completely ignored... what? Almost the entire premiss of the first game revovled around the protheans, but now they stopped caring. They just missed a giant oppertunity with that one to me.
- The collector's are filler bad guys. In reality they aren't even bad guys they are just being controlled by a distant reaper. That kind of makes the ending of defeating the collector's feel like a no impact ending. It is like finishing a mobster game by defeating 20 of the low level thugs...
- Mass Effect 2 was supposed to be dark and gritty and you were supposed to be recruiting some tough bad guys, yet almost everyone you got was either good or did some bad things but had a heart of gold. It is hard to believe in a darker storyline when only 2/3 out of what the 9 recruits are actually dark and bad...
- I can only guess that the human reaper was meant to be funny because of its absurdity, however the moment I saw it I felt sad. It felt so completely out of place. There is no practicality of a massive human reaper. Its effectiveness can't be greater than just upgrading their current design so the only conclusion I can come to is that it was meant to be slightly funny. This game has almost a completely serious tone and then that comes along...
EA took a perfectly good game concept and turned it into a repetitive child's game.
Spore
Drazule
I don't think any game ever will disappoint me as much as Spore did.
It could have been one of the greatest games of all time.

Demons' Souls actually exceeded what Atlus expected it to sell. Can't comment on the quality of the game though its one thats sitting in the backlog that i'll get around to eventually.
Star wars the force unleashed 2 sadly I loved the first but this one made the series get old real fast.
They were disappointed. Disappointed perhaps. But "MOST" disappointed? Of all the games they played? Hmmm okay. Very high standards, everyone has...Except that Borderlands was a boring peice of pie. The gameplay as far as I'm aware didn't change the whole way through and I don't think levelling up to get the same guns 50 times voer with minor differences in stats was incentive enough to keep playing. I got up to lvel 20 and quit because the gameplay up until that point had been literally the same 30 seconds of gameplay repeated for 5 hours.

Bad Company 2, Borderlands? I agree with Episode 1, but Episode 2 had better writing than all Half-Life 2. It could have used some more puzzles and stuff but generally the gameplay was quite solid and somewhat more interesting than in Half-Life 2.I really hate to say this, but:

Except that Borderlands was a boring peice of pie. DigitalExileHow dare you insinuate that pie is boring! On topic though, i cannot believe that no one else has posted C&C4....
hmm after the recent changes to SupCom 2 that changed the economy I've actually been warming up to the game. The main selling point for me is it's just faster. Sometimes SupCom just feels like building up to nothing if you catch the commander out in the open with like 5 gunships. My recent disappointment has to be Men of War. Not because it's bad but because I've been having horrendous framerates. The game looks AWFUL so why is it crippling my system to under 30 frames? So that disappoints me that I can't play it.
I agree with you on Demon Souls 100% I thought it was going to be a great RPG but it has nothing going for it only combat... having no story, dialogue, interesting characters, etc really killed any interest I had for the game..... here is the rest of the games that I consider failures:- Modern Warfare2 and COD3, horrible call of duty games that are a slap in the face to the other good games in the series. Thank god COD4 and Blackops are good games though, with much better balanced online play, which COD is mainly for. Not to mention they have decent campaigns unlike MW2's horrible one.

Uggh yeah, screw this game man, it really disappointed the crap out of me. Man I was literally in denial at one point and even made myself believe that the game was good.
Call of Duty Blackops
Medal Of Honor
Bad Company 2, as much as i like it and will keep playing it, i was dissapointed it lacks alot of what i love about battlefield.
Demigod - Gamespot was wise when they rated this game a 6.5:lol:
No screenshot, as I quit after 20 minutes of play.

I was really disappointed in bc2. Now i will admit to you this is mostly my own fault. It ran like **** on my computer. but honestly i played it on the xbox and was still pretty disappointed. Just didnt appeal to me. It was really too slow. People just sit around and camp. I would like to add far cry 2 to my list though
