I think Bioshock and crysis are the most eye candy games, and they just make any graphic card run to its fullest capacity. Do you recommend or know any more which are capable of making graphics cards churn, of course on high graphicssettings.

Crysis. Never ceases to amaze me.
The recent Call of Juarez game also provided some spectacular views.
what he said. Cryostasis really do shine when it comes to lightning and shadows downside for cryostasis though is that is not very optimized and you need a powerfull system ( i had to put settings to medium with my 8800gt 512mb at some stage to be playable)ARMA 2
Stalker and Clear Sky
Cryostasis (amazing special effects)
Timeshift looks awesome, but it's very well optimised.

Bioshock was an eye candy and any graphics card will run it well? this is just wrong my friend.i have an Nvidia 8500GT,and Bioshock sucked big time in terms of graphics with my card.Crysis ran waaaay better on it and was absolutly beautiful.a real real eye candy is Myst,Revelation.despite beaing old but the scenary in that game was mind blowing.I think Bioshock and crysis are the most eye candy games, and they just make any graphic card run to its fullest capacity. [QUOTE="Whiteblade999"]Trust me when i say that it's not because they look nice. It makes Computers cry in the same sense that Intel's Burn test makes computers cry. what are you talking about stalker clear sky looks amazing from the screens i've seen and the first stalker looks really good in my eyes at high settings.I have heard S.t.a.l.k.e.r and its prequel make computers cry on higher settings.

Not all that great. I've played both, they run horrible compared to how good they actually are.I have heard S.t.a.l.k.e.r and its prequel make computers cry on higher settings.

Ima say Trine,Crysis,Call of juarez 2,Timeshift and nba 2k9 looks lovely at 1600x1200 on my hd4850!cezeonTrine is really nice to look at, although Crysis refuses to play well for me (I have a 4850 also). STALKER keeps amazing me with it's lighting, when I first had played it (no patches on an ATI x1950xt) it looked and ran pretty bad, but now it plays smoothly :) Bioshock was another game that looked nice along with Fallout 3 and Braid.

why do you say no to bioshock irrespective of its brutality once we go inside, the water effects shown in there at the beginning of the game are like nowhere I have seen. The reflection on the water is so upto mark.
I'm not that into car combat personally, but yeah it should have more variety. But then again, how much variety can a post apocalyptic world have?angel_14
C'mon, that's a lazy excuse. I guess the map design was something along the lines of a developer randomly clicking and dragging the terrain tools over the blank terrain, then randomly dropping the same 20 assets all around the world, and then tweaking it a bit to resemble North American key landscapes.
Here's an interesting article about the world of FUEL.

I run Stalker just fine. Never had a problem with it.
[QUOTE="psn8214"]Fuel is larger, and the view distance is greater.Arma 2. The scale is unmatched.
Charles_Dickens
Yes, but the world in Arma 2 is much more beautifully modeled and detailed imo. To each his own I guess.

Hmmm. You read my mind. I'm currently playing Bioshock 1 for the first time since buying the game last year and at the same time fighting the urge to re-play Crysis yet again.

I agree I just liked those water effects in Bioshock, thay are like none other, my PC crashed with my old graphics card, the rest of game is brutal and I didn't like it for its brutality.[QUOTE="Nibroc420"][QUOTE="Whiteblade999"]Trust me when i say that it's not because they look nice. I've played all Stalkers, even with mods. Nothing to write home about. When I think of Stalker, graphics is the last thing that comes to mind. And yes, I played at MAXED settings @ 1920x1200 res.I have heard S.t.a.l.k.e.r and its prequel make computers cry on higher settings.

For how stalker ran with the hardware it is played on, It should look better considerably.
Then again that can be said about a lot of pc games.
Eye candy to me is what's presented up front without regards to the tech behind it (the tech would be for graphics kings). Since I'm playing Bioshock (and stuck in Fort Frolic for the moment), the amount of eye candy is the first thing I noticed.......
Edit: Honestly, I'm starting to think Bioshock still holds up well for a 2007 game just like Crysis. Bioshock does it indoors, Crysis does it outdoors.
If you are trying to get your GPU (and with some, your CPU) to go up in a puff of smoke... then the best games I can think of to achieve this is;
World in Conflict - not realy my kind of RTS, but still the best use of DX10 I can recall. Crysis - always the benchmark. Stalker, especially Clear Sky has some advanced DirectX10 options and with a few extra high res mods added to the allready demanding game will make most PC's detonate. Dawn of War 2 also looks rather good, as does Far Cry 2. Any recent Unreal Engine powered game, like the Bioshocks, although the Unreal Engine does perform very well... except for the graphic pop-ins:)
GTAIV, patched up and modded with the high-res packs at settings to max... also hurts most PC's. Mod's is a good way to see what your rig can do come to think of it, even Fallout 3with some graphics mods and INI hacks turns a smooth game in to a powerpoint slide show!
