[QUOTE="lucfonzy"][QUOTE="fudgeblood"] Not everyone lives in the UK or has that type of money, y'know.fudgeblood
Exactly, so people should stop telling me and others in my situation what to do with that money.
Ok, fine, go waste your hard earned money then. Support developers that are killing not only PC gaming, but gaming in general. Psst, everyone is doing the same thing. Every developer does that, why not iw?[QUOTE="fudgeblood"][QUOTE="lucfonzy"]Ok, fine, go waste your hard earned money then. Because IW has tricked every single person who preordered this game. Notice how they release info of all the crap they took out AFTER they hit record preorders? not to mention they're selling rehashed Toy Nightvision goggles.
Im not going to buy it. Im going to borrow it off of a friend.Iantheone
In order for that to happen your friend must buy it so either way IW gets a PC sale, this is unacceptable in my eyes. I can't stop your friend but I just hope he knows what he is doing.
You might want to consider Arma2 for the most realistic multi-player military shooter on the market today.[QUOTE="Mazoch"][QUOTE="snover2009"]
Right now I am trying to decide, buy Modern Warfare 2 for buy Left 4 Dead 2.
Sure all my friends are getting Left 4 Dead 2 and is going to be much better than the first game.
However, After playing Left 4 Dead and Killing Floor, I'm not in too much of a mood for a game that involes you and 3 other players killing zombies because I already have 2 games that let me do that.
What I don't have right now is an Military Style Competative Shooter. Medal of Honor Airborne doesn't count because it is old and not evnough maps, modes, or weapons to keep me playing.
After playing through Modern Warfares Campaign and seeing what COD Online was like, I am leaning towards Modern Warfare 2. Since it is required to use Steam, at least me and my friends would be able to know when we are playing the game, because we all have Steam anyway.

yeah arma or operation flashpoint.
although they are shooters... i honestly consider them military simulators.
Tried the Arma 2 demo, I didn't like it. At least with MW2, I have a pretty good Idea of what it is going to be like.

"Borrowing" is against the EULA; You might as well be pirating it.
(Note I'm not telling you to pirate, I'm saying that what you would be doing is illegal.)
Also, seeing as how MW2 is trying to be the most idiotic game in the world, they might notice the multiple I.P. log-ins and just ban your friend's Steam account, thus locking him out of all his games.

I have lent my account to several of my friends and we have been logged on at the same time, with the same account on multiple occasions. If they were to ban it i could say that my account has hacked and someone else had logged onto it. They cannot ban an account for it being used on multiple IP's (Ist that the whole ppoint of the Steam Cloud thing? To let you use your account and settings on different computers?).I do this too, as I'm not always home, so I just play a game on my friend's computer or my laptop (yes, I love gaming that much :P). I hope Steam doesn't ban on those terms. :?

A) You can't have multiple people online with one account.
B) Steam doesn't care if you got hacked. Once an account has been banned, there's nothing you can do except create a brand new one.
C) Yes, Steam Cloud was designed to share controls and settings accross computers, but that was not the point I was trying to make. I was trying to say if Steam noticed that you were online and your friend goes from offline mode to online (Thus one account with multiple I.P. log ins booting each other), and this happens a lot, there is a chance for you to get caught and banned. It HAS happened before.
