I'm not expecting anything out of the story, but gameplay-wise it's still COD and they're solid there. I might not buy it right away (paying $60 for what will almost inevitably be a short game is kind of lame), but I'll play it at some point.

After how bad MW2 turned out? HELL NO.

Ill try it at a friends place and see how it is, but MW2 was one of hte worst game ive ever played. Maybe if its more like COD4 maybe, but MW2 still gives me nightmares how bad it was

I'm happy that a MW game is coming out as opposed to a Treyarch spin-off. I was so utterly disappointed in Black Ops. Hell, I STILL can't get the game to run right.. drops to 30 fps sometimes.... brutal. Anyway, I'll probably get this. I miss MW2. BTW, dedicated servers confirmed. http://www.videogamer.com/pc/cod_mw3/news/modern_warfare_3_to_feature_dedicated_servers_on_pc.html

Why is it's banner so big ?

Is Valve pissed it won't get Battlefield 3 on steam:lol: ?

Or is it just because it's such a big selling game

You should definitely spend your money on what you enjoy.

But I would never pay € 59.99 on a PC game. That's ludicrous

Shame we won't see who beats who in pre-orders on Steam since EA wants to hold out on BF3 from it.

I don't want to right now, but that's because I know that I'll enjoy BF3 more, and then there's Red Orchestra 2, and I'm still expanding my horizons so doing pre-orders right now is kinda meh for me. However, around Christmas season I'm sure I can find a decent copy of the game for less than normal, maybe during some kind of a DD sale or something.

The game, despite what anyone says, will be a huge best-seller, even on PC. It's already second on the charts, and the previous two games are still some of the most played games on Steam right now. Both this game, and Battlefield 3 will sell like hotcakes, that's for sure.

I admit it, its a fun game for a while. Got like 50 some hours on Blops. Its just that, its not....new. It still is a rehash, which doesnt make the game boring, of course.

I might only pay MW3 for the single player (console rental, probably), which is probably the funniest thing that anyone could say about MW. The multiplayer formula at this point can go to hell. I just want to know how things wrap up... but knowing them, a sequel hook's probably going to be present. Also still funny that MW is condemned by the hardcore caming community, yet sells like hotcakes to a buttload of demographics. Way to go, gamers... Spines of steel. Definitely have some.

[hipster] I only cared for CoD before it went mainstream.[/hipster]

And guess what, no tax charge on Steam this so it's $5.30 cheaper than buying a $60 game from other sites. Worth noting games like Left4Dead2 and Just Cause 2 were down to $4.99 during Steam sales :P

MW3, much like MW2 in its time, will be the best competetive game on PC right behind TF2 and CSS.

I actually really enjoy the COD games, the Black Ops campaign was pretty freakin epic as were the ones previous. Hate all you want, they consistently score high, get awards, get packed full of content and support after release, they also ship millions so the multiplayer is full of people to play with. Although I do hate how much the DLC prices are I will give you that one :P

I have MW2 and Black Ops for PC, X360, and PS3 but I didn't buy a single piece of DLC. Never felt like I was missing out since I assume the default maps are best anyway.

Yeah I dont have the maps for BO or MW2 either, I have some for MW1 but thats it, just seems like a bit of a rip off to pay £10 for a few maps when they are usually recycled and took them 10 minutes to redo.

I bought MW2 when it was on sale for 20 bucks, and regret even that. Especially when TF2 is free, and I already own Counterstrike and Bad Company 2.

The singleplayer is incredibly cinematic and entertaining, but at an average of 5 hours, extremely hard to justify 60 dollars for.

And the multplayer is just despicable relative to what is out there...

Because they like money. The games still a month and a half away and it's already number two on the top sellers list. But that banner is kinda overkill. It fill up my entire screen whenever I launch Steam.

Before it's too late for what? That I'll be out $60 bucks for a waste of my time? In any case, you can pre-order one day before the game comes out, you're not missing anything.

I don't buy console ports. A cheap 5 hour campaign about Russians and nuclear weapons? Not worth the $60.

With RO2, CS:OG, Firefall, BF3, etc. coming out soon. I hardly see the game's MP even lasting past a year.

Wrong twice there...

You are paying for BOTH the awesome SP campaign (scripted but still fun) and the many hours of MP

It will last until the next CoD release... and maybe even passed that if really good.

Black Ops was terrible on the PC (took Treyarch nearly 2 months to patch the game to a playable state) ..And don't even get me started about MW2. CoD4 was the last 'true' PC Call of Duty game, and will very likely be the last; as long as money and greed stay the forefront of Activisions business model.

I agree with Black Ops having performance issues....although the SP Campaign worked fine for me.

MW2 engine ran flawless for me, both in SP and MP... only problem I had with MP was that if I wasn't using a local host, my ping was elevated... (that and later on it got full of hackers)

£39.99 pass. I'd never in this lifetime spend close to £40 on one PC game. I hated the multiplayer in the last 2 COD's anyway. Its retarded philosophy to make people who are already better with skill and experience even more powerful with kill streaks.
