Ok I restarted and it's fine now (My pc hasn't been on that long though...). But sorry for double post i deleted it, I guess gamespot wasn't doing fine either I only pressed submit once. Ok so I just found xp pro for even cheaper so now i have $27 extra bucks to spend(which is about $100 for case and psu now) so I can probobly afford some of those Psus you guys suggested.

There acctualy $3 apart lol, but ok I'll go with antec.

Edit: Ok that leaves me at $652.84. About $50 bucks to spare for a case, wow I'm happy. I'll browse through some and if you want you can suggest some.

Your best bet if you can get a Earthwatts 430W or 380W,though i don't know how well it'll fare with a HD 2900GT.

Do you think I should get that OS? I heard some bad stuff about the 64-bit XP. Should I go with Vista? Is Vista worth it yet? How much more expensive would it be?

Oh ya, what virus protection program should I use? I think I heard that avast is good, but I never used it. I DON'T want anything that will slow down my pc (like norton which I'm using now and hate).mattpunkgd

I'm flying unprotected and I've been fine for over a year so far, but I know it'll come back to bite me sooner or later.

XP is fine.Just double boot vista whenever you feel like getting it.I wouldnt recommend you to run a system with just vista.XP is all you need for now.

Get either XP home 32-bit or xp pro 32-bit.Both are really fine but pro is the superior version(but it obviously has nothing to do with your gaming).Dont get the media center or any 64-bit version and you will be fine.

Sorry cant help you in the other one cuz i dont live in the US.
