My comp goes into low resolution when it stops

How come when I start my computer it goes into low resolution? I think it may be a valve game which causes this..

Not sure I understand the problem... You mean when you boot your computer it boots into a poor resolution? Because that sounds like a graphics driver issue to me.

Sounds like you have a crappy video card, or drivers.

I had this issue once on my notebook. It was a graphics driver issue. Have you upgraded your graphics drivers lately?
