yeah. I think that its pretty odd the way everyone responded. Taking the moral high ground like that. Jelousy? maybe, maybe not...
As people say, getting an expensive gift does not equal being spoilt. Everyone going on about less fortunate people needing $250... why dont you start making a difference then, instead of posting on gaming forums. Er, like I am now.Â

My thoughts exactly. Why when I was a wee lad we didn't get money or computers for our birthdays or christmas or ever as a gift. You were lucky if you got an action figure, or new bat and ball, or anything at all beyond the cake, and if you did get something you were grateful. If you wanted this new expensive stuff it ment getting up off your a$$ and going out into the world where you worked for it. That usually ment manual labor, but in the end it felt a lot better getting it since you earned it, as opposed to having mommy or daddy or someone just giving it to you. You also knew how to appreciate it and take care of it too, because it was a product your blood sweat and tears.

Im not spoiled! my dad thought its time i get a new computer considered im currently using a 7 year old hp laptop that was handed down to me.

Yes if you live in the US where the average family makes around 50k a year, you would be considered spoiled because its not normal and frankly you dont need a $2000-$3000 laptop. You can easily make due with a $600 notebook if you even need a notebook at all, which 99.9% of people dont unless its required in your law school or something. Its no different than a kid who get a new Corvette for their high school graduation. Simply isnt needed and completely unearned. Not all parent can afford those things and to say you wouldnt want to live with people who cant afford them is... uh... how should i say this... spoiled. Furthermore, some parents actually believe you need to earn your way through life, not because they hate you, but because they feel that its part of growing up. Do I care if you get spoiled? Nope, but I would prefer not to work withsome who is since they usually suck at everything they do but there are exceptions every now and then.
