When I move the screen back and forth, blue horizontal lines appear on the screen. Someitmes most of the screen turns blue/scrambled. I think it's cus my mom punched the screen yesterday (don't ask).
How should I get it fixed?

If you're absolutely certain you are out of warranty, then your only options are to repair it.
If you have some technical knowledge, then you can buy a screen yourself and install it. the process isnt terribly difficult, but its incrediably time consuming as you have to dismantle a good chunk of the laptop just to get at the screen (for most laptops). Probably a 3 hour job, unless you are intimately familair with its insides.
Unforunately, individual parts for laptops are highly inflated in price. You'll likely be paying $250 - $500 for a screen. If you take it to a repair shop, you're looking at an extra $100 at least on top of that.
Depending on the value of the laptop it might be better to get a new one.

you cant.. your laptop is FUBAR (ehhhhhh look it up if you dont know)
you can however extract any data off it via a desktop simply plug it in like one would a normal hard drive ( look it up on youtube).
start saving for a new one man

How do you know that? It's working fine right now, it's just that the screen sometimes glitches. It's a really nice laptop. And I'm thinking it's prolly a connection problem between the laptop and screen itself, rather than being a damaged screen (it happened once 3 years ago and I got it fixed). If you're absolutely certain you are out of warranty, then your only options are to repair it.

Should I got to an actual repair shop, or search Craigslist?
If you have a connection for it, I believe you could just buy a pc monitor, plug it in and right click get into the display settings click a few options and hey presto you have a new screen, but your laptop would essentially become a desktop with its lack of portability:P

Step 1) Get your mom's credit card
Step 2)Pay to get it fixed with said credit card
