MY RIG - need a little advice -

Well I've been waiting for ever, and kept upgrading the build. This is what I might get, one or the other, which is better in your opinion.

Asus P5N-D , Nforce 750i SLI chipset OR some Itel chip based motherboard (I am correct about the intel chip, or the x38 )

CORE 2 DUO E8400, 3.000 GHz 6MB, 1333MHz, LGA775 BOX

Thermaltake BigTyp 120 VX

Ram OCZ 2 GB KIT 2x1GB DDR2 PC2-8500 1066MHZ, SLI ready XTC OR some other ram if I don't go SLi

2 x BFG GeForce 9600GT OC 512MB 675/1700/1800 GDDR3 DVI PCIe 2.0 OR the BFG 9800GTX

SEAGATE 500Gb SATA300 Barracuda 7200, 32Mb NCQ SATA-II/300 ST3500320AS

NEC AD-7200S DVD+/-RW DL 20X, črn

Antec SLK 1650B 350W Smartpower ver 2.0

So what do you think? And advice would be appreciated.

instead of that psu buy the corsair vx550w cheaper and better

downgrade to pc2 6400 ddr2 800 (no need for 1066 speeds) try crucial ballistiz ddr2 800 2X1Gb

if you can buy the x38 chipset its amazing (but you wont be able to sli but you can crossfire which scales better then sli) i suggest you just buy one 8800gt and wait till the 9800gtx comes out or even teh 4***series cards from ati

i strongly recommedn you buy vista its just as good as xp if not better there are just as many drivers as there are for xp its stable as xp 64bit is awsome and sees more then 3.2gigs of ram its a lil more futurproof sp1 fixes alot of network issues and thousands of others (but i havnt noticed anything) ppl who say vista sux for gaming are just ignorant the most i have seen was like 5 fps decrease

i suggest home premium 64bit its on nwewgg for $99
