Name one thing you don't like about pc games

Games like Silent Storm. The game is awesome, but there should be no reason you can walk up to a an enemy, point your gun at him, and not be able to shoot him because you have 1 AP left. Jagged Alliance 2 had them but Back in action and Crossfire (the newer remakes) did not. I hate action points!! It makes the game seem un-realistic.

When I buy a game and it has poor AMD driver support (Rage, Brink, War in the North.) It's not cool to buy a broken product and wait for drivers to fix it.

In relation to this: much much better lower end scaling. Cut polygons in half, drop texture resolution by 5 fold. Just make it run on laptops and lower end systems.

Make a universal hub for PC game tech support. Not just "game has crashed would you like to send it to MS for debug". Not everybody has time to search for solutions on different forums across different sites. Or make all games use Steam which is already half way there.

Every PC game should have 360 controller support, among other controllers and input devices

One thing i dont like about PC, there are no good boxing games!

Recommended spec should be "required spec" for alot of games.

Bad code. (I get 14 fps on Train Sim 2012 because apparently the game only utilizes 1 core)

I hate it when PC games do not have controller support. I hate using the keyboard for Doom 3; KOTOR II is more tolerable, but I would still rather have a controller.

In no particular order:

Pointless DLC

Needing an internet connection to play solo

Patches that break the game

Games released before they are finished

So many of them I sometimes don't even know what to play so I just kind of waste time... doing nothing.

Goddamn Steam sales

Fixing drivers.

Console ports with bad keyboard and mouse controls.

People with bad computers who try and play Company of Heroe's and Dawn of War 2's multiplayer.

Hackers/cheaters in multiplayer games.

Thats three things.

But more so on a personal level, Developers intentionally ditching split-screen support in favor for the severely underpowerd console versions. Don't give me that usual BS about having LAN. LAN is impossible to set-up at a friends place if they lack the proper equipment for fulfillment (eg, they don't have a spare monitor). These lazy developers should be kicked in the nads for selling a incomplete feature-set of their games.

That and when my computer decides to thermal shutdown itself in the middle of a gaming session.

Online DRM for single-player definitely.

What the hell? Recently Rockstar said that PC and Wii U versions of GTA V are under consideration, and now you're saying that GTA V won't be coming for the PC? Has Rockstar confirmed that GTA V will not be released for the PC? This is terrible news. Can you provide a link to the source of this news please?

Either way, it's not like that's an issue about "pc games". It's just... those couple games you mentioned. 

On topic: I'd like to see split screen support more often. Not a biggie, but it would be nice.

they haven't said anything. People are just assuming it won't for some reason, because they apparently don't know the history of the GTA franchise.

Really? I'm pretty sure building a custom PC, maintaining it on a software/driver level, and installing/running games, and even modding games, have all got exponentially easier in the last half a decade. There have been massive efforts to make PC gaming easier to get into and more reliable.

If it's only one thing, then it's when developers fail to deliver a ported console game that feels like a PC game. I mean stuff like huge letters and prompts, games that show you controller prompts instead of keys (Bionic Commando comes to mind), games that have no real graphics options, bad controls... What's more is that games seem to have been dumbed down. You barely ever get a game where you can go prone or lean around corner, for example. Regenerating health. Badly implemented checkpoint systems.
