need help booting an iso file

so i have poweriso and i can mount my iso images onto a virtual drive but how can i make them bootable? i can explore the contents of the iso but cannot booth can anyone help?

burn it to a dvd, and then load the dvd and then boot off it.

You can't boot from an iso image without burning it; to run your virtual drive you would already have to be booted.

i tried doint that i burn the image and then when ii put the dvd in i can still only explore the contents and nothing boots i used poweriso and imgburn to brun the iso

i burned the iso to a dvd and when i load it up it just opens up as if it were a folder i used two different isos and i cant get it to work :(i cant get it to boot up

try getting magiciso and burn it as a bootable iso

You can try burning with nero in iso mode

Are you sure that your dvd drive is set in your BIOS as the first boot device? If it is not, it will just be ignored. If you are sure that it is set as your first boot device, then make sure you are not using Nero 8.x to burn it, as that program has lots of problems with burning bootable images. If all of those fail, you simply have an image that is not bootable.

Did you simply burn the ISO as data to the disc, so that when you explore the disc, you see the iso?

If so, you did it wrong. If you use nero, you launch nero, then click file->open then browse to and select the iso, then burn.
