Need help building a pc

Ok i am entirely new to this building pc's thing, but i want a good gaming/Photo & Video Designing
I already have a few parts im intrested in but like i said i am not very good at this so im gonna list the parts im thinking about getting and if you can offer some sugestions please do, oh and imma need some help with the power supply, fans, and a case [ not fancy and one that hopefully doesnt throw off too much light cus imma have it on alot and its gonna be in my room hidden under the desk]... please help im kinda stuck here:

I know from my own experience that photo and video editing are resource hogs. Memory is going to be a big factor in that kind of work. ASUS tends to release a list of memory types they have tested with their motherboard. It should be in the manual. Check www.asus.com for the most recent version and buy from that list. 2 GB's of memory will do but 4 GB's will be better.

There are not to many companies that make cases with removeable motherboard trays. If you can find one I strongly suggest you get it. It will make putting the computer together so much easier. Also, look for cases with 120mm fan bays. These fans have wider blades which allows them to push more air at lower speeds which will make them less noisy.

Shoot for a 500 W or better power supply. I usually go with PC Power Cooling. These guys make some very quality parts. The catch is they tend to be more expensive.

I notice your links all lead to Amazon. It is possible to find good deals at that website. There is another site you may want to concider. www.newegg.com is well know of having good deals on hardware.

okay i wont suggest you a super priced machine.

CPU: Intel core2Quad/Duo, which ever fits in the budget.

Motherboard and gCard: Your motherboard choice will depend on what kind of gCard setup you want. Lets talk about that first. I wont recommend a 8800 SLI. The best buy in nvidia would be single GTX 260 if you're talking about Price to Performance ratio. In ATI you can try 4870 X2. Why I am recommending single card is because, these single cards are really powerful and will serve your purpose. Still if you're enthusiastic about SLI then go ahead what you have thought of.

For SLI setups try nvidia motherboards which are at reasonable rates. For Cross Fire check Asus Rampage X48.

Power Supply: Any decent brand with 650+ watts, coz at SLI the power requirements can be high.

Rest can be fine.
