Need help fixing my new headset.

Hi, i recently purchased a creative fata1ity headseet. It's reconizing that is plugged in, the headset is working but the mic isnt, its not picking up my voice. Ive done everything i can, its not muted, all setting are ok. So i tryed it in my pc and it worked fine there so i know its not broken. I running vista 64bit, and it also says CODEC after the mic in the sound options of that means anything. Thanks.

I always hear about problems with people using that headset, you should look into the HPA2/HPX/AKR8 from Turtle Beach, I use the HPA2 on my desktop computer it sounds awesome
