I really wanna expand my game library on PC besides just FPS and one MMO. So i kinda wanna try and RTS. I like the idea of these kind of games, controlling multiple squads and such. Can anyone reccommend me any good RTS? I want one thats fun but easy for a noob to play. I tried the WiC demo,( i think it was that game) and was a lil too complex for me.

Hmm, World in Conflict was too complex? The camera can be hard to get used to. But the game itself is usually considered one of the more watered-down and simple RTSs out there, since there is no base building or resource gathering. Its usually the one that gets reccomended to people new to the genre.

Maybe you should go back and try some of the classics like StarCraft or Red Alert 2. They're kind of simple, at least they're more straight forward. I think you'd be overwhelmed by modern RTSs like Company of Heroes, Dawn of War, Supreme Commander, and the Total War series.

Hmm dang i guess ill just have to get use to RTS's. I played halo wars and C&C3 tiberium wars on 360 and liked them. But ik they'd be better on computer. I watched the COH review and that game looked pretty cool, but you said its more advanced lol.

Well, DoW1 is a very simple game in its mechanics, and it is quite good

CoH is not all that complex, but it plays out in a way where most who are used to rts gets confused, and feck up (because it was such a departurefrom your brick and mortar rts)

Id say you should buy CoH if you think it looked good.

and DoW1 is fairly easy either way.

The key with any rts gamesis the campaign (the sp) since they usually act as a tutorial, each missionusually focuses on one unit and its uses. So you learn through SP, to use in skirmishes and MP ^^

Supreme Commander may be a bit too complex (economy has a steep learning curve in that game). It's good though, try it.

DoW 2 is pretty fun and even less complex than the first ones. But either the 1st or 2nd DoW games are good.
