i bought red orchestra of ebay and i tryed to enter the CD key on steam. i tried that but it says that it is alreadybeen activated. any help with this?

You are screwed buddy, the guy that sold you the game activated the cd-key on his own steam and sold it to stupid ppl.

You can always contact Steam Support and give proof of purchase and a picture of the game box with key. They may transfer the game to you and remove it from the other users account. Especially seeing how the EULA states you are not allowed to sell a game after activating it. Some users have even been banned do to selling their games used and then cried injustice feeling that they should be able to sell what they have purchased....too bad most users don't realize that they purchase a license that can be revoked at any time.

The only PC games you should ever buy used would be ones that aren't tied to some sort of account. Which are mostly older PC games. New games with limited activations or that require something like a Steam account you should never buy used ever.

If you aren't allowed to sell them though, I really doubt Valve is going to transfer it to his account. Worth a shot I suppose.

Well im sure you've learned now, don't buy "used" steam games. Unless maybe the user has good feedback and guarantees the game has never been activated. Same goes for games that are primarily multiplayer...
