I posted this in another thread, so I'll just copy 'n paste.

Processor--http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0302727(Intel Ci7 920)

----This is an in-store pickup only. If you have a microcenter nearby I HIGHLY recommend purchasing this.----

MOBO--http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157163&cm_re=x58-_-13-157-163-_-Product

(ASRock x58 Extreme)

Memory--http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231223(G.Skill 3x2GB DDR3 1333)

HDD--http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152181&cm_re=samsung_spinpoint_f3-_-22-152-181-_-Product

;(Samsung Spinpoint F3 500GB)

----This was a tough decision. It trumps the 640GB Western Digital Caviar Black in performance, but you lose roughly 140GB of space.----

CASE--http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119196&Tpk=cooler%20master%20storm%20scout

(Cooler Master Storm Scout)

GPU--http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102856&cm_re=5870-_-14-102-856-_-Product(Sapphire 5870)

PSU--http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139006(Corsair 750W)

Optical--http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136177(LG-Black DVD+RW)

Total: $1205.92 before shipping or rebates. I tried to go for items with free shipping (except the GPU and memory).

I would put more trust into a PSU like this. In addition I would probably pick a different case just because it looks tacky, but if you like it that's fine...

Looks great to me. The only thing is that mobo will hold you back if you plan on doing crossfire later. If you are cool with that it will run with 1 card with no problems.

The ASRock mobo can do full x16 x16 crossfire, just like the Asus P6T. Considering that the jump from a 2 to 3 card configuration loses a lot of efficiency, I'd say that for $70 less a x16/x16 configuration merits good value for the price. I wouldn't call that a limitation :?

I misread the specs I thought there was two orange PCIE slots which would have meant only one x16 speed slot. Apparently that is not true though.

First you need to swap out your RAM. The one you selected is Dual Channel. You need Triple Channel for socket 1366. Also check the motherboards QVL to see if the RAM you choose is supported.

Second I recommend you get the Asus P6T Deluxe. I only buy Asus motherboards. EVGA is known more for making GPUs.

Third get a Gtx 260 from EVGA or XFX. They have a lifetime warranty. The dual fans arent really needed.
