need help with surround sound speakers

i have no idea when it comes to surround sound speakers i wanted to buy these but when i looked at the second picture i see red wires on one side blue wires on the other,now my HDTV has alot of inputs (4 hdmi slots,2 componant slots ,3 av slots) but where do i hook up this surround sound system on the tv ? do i need a adapter

The reason they're color coded is to make it easier when hooking it up to the reciever they came with. You cannot simply hook those up to your tv unless it has speaker outputs, and even then, it'll only have a left and right speaker output. You need to get yourself a home theater reciever.

1. Those are speakers for a home theater in a box.

2. You cannot plug them into your TV as you need the specific receiver.

3. Forget these speakers and find an alternative, if you want a home theater post a budget and we might be able to help you find a solution.

save your money for a 100$ budget you cant really be expecting anything good

For that low, increase it a bit and you could get a stereo setup. Surround sound isn't worth it unless you got at least this much to invest. For just stereo you could go with this receiver and a pair of Sonybookshelfs. That will let you have upgrading room in the future too.

Wow thanks for the info guys i just thought surround sound speaker cost was cheap due to that listing but i guess ill continue saving up till 400$ i might be back for recommendations around that price thanks again
