Hey guy's,
I might pick up Clive Barkers Jericho but I wanna get some opinions before i buy it. Is the game any good? what did you like about it and disliked?

The first hour is pretty bad. Get past that and you'll find a great and quite innovative game.
The story is good, although it's a bit hard to get used to the dialogue and terminology if you haven't read anything by Clive Barker.
The level design was obviously modified halfway through production. You can notice a lot of areas that were supposed to be bigger - they're badly hidden behind walls and fences. It's quite interesting, although it channels into claustrophobic corridors a bit too often. The so-called arenas - the open spaces - are very good.
The six characters are all useful and quite interesting.
The friendly AI is mediocre, but that doesn't hurt the overall experience. I actually find it a lot of fun to try keeping my team alive. The enemy AI seems to be a bit better, sometimes it's downright tricky. The combat is fast paced and extremely brutal. You have to think very fast to succeed - something Gamespot's reviewer doesn't seem to do...
Visually, it's a masterpiece, one of the few games that follow the original Quake template. You'll fight all kinds of freaky enemies, and the architecture is awesome. the colours are washed out, almost like an old painting, with interesting contrasts. I liked it that the enemies seem to have actual weight... Early in the game you fight some massive mutated Nazi soldiers, about as big as a Big Daddy from BioShock, but here they seem to have a physical presence. It's hard to describe the feeling, my brain always screamed that something big, heavy and pissed is heading towards me.
The setpieces are all very good. The Colosseum fight towards the end of the game is one of the best moments you'll find in gaming, right up there with Riddick's cryo-prison. There are some occasional quick time-events, which are quite easy. I usually beat them in the first try, rarely needed a second.
Play it on hard, most unlockables (pictures, additional information) are only unlocked on that difficulty.
It's not as good as Undying, but it's a must-play IMO.
I like it a lot.
ability switching combat is insanely fun. enemies are tough enough and with all those neat special abilities you cannot really run and gun through the game.
the story is more than adequate for a FPS, and the graphic is among the best around if you have the hardware to run it at the highest possible setting (recently, with the help of i7 920, I'm finally able to run this game at 2560x1600 with everything maxed out...it's stunning!)
now the bad thing: as mentioned by others, teammate AI is quite bad, and expect to die and heal a lot during the course of the game~~:
2500X 1600? How many inches?I like it a lot.

Worst FPS I have ever played. More linear than anything I've seen in a long time. Repetitious winding corridors with horrible A.I.... The only thing good about it is the graphics. 1.5/5 in my book. Play Undying if you feel the need to play a Clive Barker game.

I loved the story, it was very interstsing and got better as the game went on. The ability to change from team mate to team mate is nice as well. The main drawbacks the game had for me was horrible AI, checkpoint save systems, QTEs, and uninspired gameplay. The squad mates were horrible at staying alive, I was constantly having to revive them. I hate QTEs and checkpoint save systems on principle. I find the hinder my fun. The gameplay problem was basically that they tried nothing really new, you shot everything that moved plain and simple.
The story is very good, but it's kind of repetitive, your partner AI is horrible and the ending is just abysmal. Give it a try, I did liked it.
Well... for me it was a decent experience, it tended to get repetitive...
-Monsters AI is like zombies with the exception of the ranged guys. The game wasn't that difficult nor challenging.
-The story is really good, good enough for a movie (except for the ending).
-The AI for the squad is kind of lacking at times but it doesn't turn out to be a revive fest (rev fest only 2 or 3 times and it depends on difficulty settings and luck). You dont need to shove the guys in order for them to move, although there are times that you may leave somesquadmatesbehind, noticing ituntil half a level(rofl happened to me twice)...
!!!-OH! And one more thing!!! It's not frightening! It's not a scary orhorror game, if that's going to be part of your reason to buy then don't! The atmosphere is sometimes correct but nothing ever happens...
-The thing that i liked the most is that there are times that you switch to another teammate to adaptaccording tothe challenge(each has his powers or weapons(pistols rock)). Also if I remember correctly it plays some rock music in the back sometimes, thing that i enjoyed quite a bunch.
For me was a decent gamethat I enjoyed but with no replayability including the factthat it doesn't have any form ofmultiplayer.
My recommendation is: if there areother games like classics or "must-have",that you don't already own,it's better tobuy those instead of Jericho.
