If I were to build my own tower - Id need about $800 to get a majority of the items I really wanted. Everything that u have there seems to be okay - except / HDD and Graphics / which u will be upgrading in the near future. Those combined will coste well over $200. So - Easy math. :)

Couple of years? No - maybe not. The 8600 would be argued to be dated NOW. What ever u think though.

That's not a great deal for $600. It's not a colossal rip-off, but it's far from a good deal.

Bro-being able to play any game does not necassarily mean that it will play them well... Example - Nvidia 6800 will play bioshock/crysis/cod4 etc. haha---@ 800res and everything at low and I mean low / and then it still looks like an Atari2600 game :)

In that case I call BS. If u wanted advice / a couple of us gave u some. If you already have your mind made up about buying it then great. But I do know that Crysis will not play at those settings w/ that card. Especially with DX10 and @ 1600res. If this is what he told u, then turn on ur BS meter.

GoodLuck

Who told you that, the person trying to sell this to you?

While some people have been harsh in how they are saying it, there is no way that card can run that game at those specs. Did you actually go into the game setting and see those settings and that resolutions?

Oh and if you are buying that GPU from a previous owner there is no lifetime warranty. It only applies to the original owner, and they have to register it with BFG within 30 days of purchase to get the warranty.

Yea, maybe a 8800 gts (512) but even then it would be pretty nasty....the best a 8600 could do is maybe medium.

You asked for opinions, and we gave it to you....the card thats in that computer is a 2 year old budget card and if your not gonna listen to us then don't its your money that your gonna waste. I wouldent recomend anything less than a 9600gt/8800gs, thats if your gonna listen to us. If not then fine.
