never used direct2drive before. question about bf3 and origin.

i expect all pc versions of bf3 to have origin running when i play it. but if i buy it from d2d, will i have origin AND a d2d program running? or do i just download bf3 from d2d and from then on it only uses origin? thanks

D2D doesn't have a game manager, only a download manager if you get disconnected while downloading large files. So you'd only need to use Origin (presuming Origin will be required).

It will be interesting to see if the game actually requires Origin be running in the background in order to play. So far no BioWare games do this, all you need Origin for is download and install.topsemag55

Origin is required for EVERY version of BF3.... it was confirmed by the devs.
