Looking at getting a new monitor but don't know what one. I want a wide screen with 1680 x1050 (maybe 1440 x 900 if there is a really good one) with good contrast and responce times

I have been looking at the 22" Samsung 226BW widescreen LCD but its a bit expencive so hows the 20" BenQ G2000W LCD monitor compare? or what about the 20" AOC 203VW+ LCD monitor?

and other suggestions?

I have a Samsung 20'' 206BW, it's exactly the same as the 22'' version just that the pixels are so much smaller. Thus, far less AA needs to be applied to the image. Which then translates to better performance in game, due to the tiny pixel size of the 20'' monitor over the 22'' counterpart.

The Samsung 206BW is and exceptional monitor for gaming, with such a wide variety of vivid colours (Australian spelling) and incredible 2ms Response time, you can't go wrong. :)

Just my two cents.

Basically my 8800GT hearts the 20'' 206BW.
