This release of AMD Catalyst 12.9 Beta driver includes a number of feature highlights and resolved issues.

New features found in Catalyst 12.9 Beta:

Performance highlights of AMD Catalyst 12.9 Beta (versus AMD Catalyst 12.8)

  • Up to 10% in Lost Planet 2 in single GPU configurations

Feature Highlights of AMD Catalyst 12.9 Beta Linux® Driver: New OS Support

This release of AMD Catalyst Linux introduces support for the following new operating systems.

  • Ubuntu 12.10 early look support
  • RHEL 6.3 production support

Resolved issue highlights of the AMD Catalyst 12.9 Beta driver

  • Tri and Quad CrossFire+ Eyefinity configurations Certain DirectX 10 and DirectX 11 applications lower than expected performance
  • FireFox corruption observed in CrossFire configurations
  • Enabling Overdrive settings increased clocks in all power states
  • Availability of AMD Video Converter support in AMD Catalyst 12.9 Beta Windows 7 and Windows Vista packages

This release of AMD Catalyst delivers support for the latest AMD CrossFireX profiles in a separate executable file ensuring users have access to the absolute latest set of profiles installed on their PC.

New profiles added to this release:-

  • World of Warcraft - Mist of Pandaria (DX11, DX9): Fixes texture flickering observed when enabling high graphics settings with CrossFire enabled
  • World of Warcraft - Mist of Pandaria (DX9): Resolve corruption when enabling Anti-Aliasing through the Catalyst Control Center (Anti-Aliasing should be enabled through the applications settings)
  • World of Warcraft - (DX9): Resolves performance issues observed with the 64-bit variant of the client
  • Tribes Ascend: Improves CrossFire performance when running in CrossFire mode
  • F1 2012: Improves CrossFire performance, resolves texture flickering in reflections

a beta driver from amd? so do you get bsods before windows even loads now? /s (sort of)

:lol: Yeah the drivers are bad enough in stable release never mind beta. Okay I exaggerate a little I can't say I've had any problems with AMD drivers.

I'm using 12.9 Beta right now and I've had zero problems.

Okay, I have a problem now. Seems like FlawlessWidescreen won't work properly with 12.9. Must be the .Net 4.0 addition in these drivers and the program not reading it correctly.
