I wouldn't recommend anything less then a 8800GTS, and if you can wait a bit, I hear the 8800GT's are comming soon, and at a $220 price point you get performance near a GTX.

Looks great except the card, that wiil bring your machine from a potential 8/10 to 6/10.

I would recommend that you wait for the 8800GT. Ifyou cant wait I would recommend a 8800GTS 320MB/640MB by far the best bangfor your buck.

A lot of game publishers are listing 4 gig RAM with Vista. Also I would bump up the card to a 8800 if possible.

I bought 8800gts 320mb a month ago. I can't fault it. Overclocks like a dream. Bestprice /performance ratio card out.

Wait for the 8800gt. Much more powerful than the 8600gt.

I really hope your running a 64bit OS otherwise that extra ram is just going to be a giant waste of money. A 32 bit OS can't even access 4gigs of ram let alone 6.

That's silly, to put it nicely, 4gb is not a must now, and won't be for a while. Even crysis recommended asks for 2gb. Additionnaly, if you want 4gb you'll need vista 64 bit, which just isn't worth it.

dude, the Crysis minimum and recommended specs have come out, just search crysis and there should be an artical on the specs. Your computer should work fine, good processor, lots of RAM (by the way is it DDR2?) decent graphics card. I'm basing this off what I've read in the Crysis system specs artical. Just look it up and read it.

My comp should work fine with Crysis:

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.20 Ghz

2 GB Corsair 6400+ DDR2 Ram

nVidia GeForce 7800 GS

Asus Motherboard

Both yours and my specs will run Crysis fine (actually your specs will run Crysis beautifully, your processor and graphics card is an absolute beast 8))
