So this company called New Medium Enterprises'is releasing their HD movies players before long called HD-VMD, the difference between it and the other fomats? Players are gonna start 150 bucks and the actual movies are only a few dollars more then DVDs while having just as good picture quality. The downsides being that HD-VMD does have interactive features like that of Blu-Ray or HD-DVD, nor does it provide as advanced audio codecs.

discuss...

Dont think its gonna be populair. Reading this makes me think of when Sony and Nintendo released their PSP and DS, in that time there was another company that announcend/released their handheld, to be honest I dont even remember its name but I know it had even more possebilities then the PSP, however nobody knew the publisher and it lacked commercials/support from the big companies like EA games or Ubisoft etc etc.

So I guess this format was already dead before it even got announced :( sad tho

sounds like a watered down HD format that will disappear quickly...no advanced audio? no need to buy
