I'm saving up for this atm.

CPU: Intel Pentium Dual Core E2180 (OC it to 3.0 Ghz hopefully) with Arctic Freezer Pro 7

Memory: G.SKILL 1GB DDR2-800 (PC-6400) CL5-5-5-15 MEMORY
G.SKILL 1GB DDR2-800 (PC-6400) CL5-5-5-15 MEMORY

Video Card: XFX 8600 GT 256 MB GDDR3 ZALMAN FAN XXX EDITION PCIe

Hard Drive: 80 GB SATA-2 7200 RPM SEAGATE BARRACUDA

Case: Cooler Master Elite 333 Black

PSU: Silverstone ST50F 500W Intelligent 120mm Variable Speed Fan (Active PFC) Power Supply

Optical Drive: Asus DRW-2014L1T Black/Beige 20x Dual Layer Lightscribe SATA DVD Rewriter Retail (2 Colour Bezels included)


Will it play CS:Source, Half Life 2 + Eps, Team Fortress 2 @ 60+ FPS?
Also any suggestions/tweaks to build would be much appreciated.

Try to aim for a 8800GS,HD 3850 or 9600GT if possible,good deal better than 8600GT,i don't know how good that Silverstone PSU is,but everything else seems good.

The best 9600 gt is at 380 bucks (NZ DOLLARS); I can get a 8800 GT 512 MB for 20 bucks more..

approach the pentiums with caution as less L2 Cache may hurt framerate.

My bad,i didn't notice that,if you ain't gonna play demanding games at higher resolutions,that rig will serve you well.

Not bad. But I would really shoot for something better than the an 8600 GT/S. The 8800 GS, HD3850, or 9600 GT would be much, much better. Any of them. You wont regret it.
