So, Iv been having afew issues with my current gpu and its basically on its breath. So Im looking into getting something new, preferably within the AU$300 mark, although, if the current one can last just 2-3 weeks more I could possibly get AU$400 but thats getting abit pricey for me. Iv been looking into something in the HD6xxx range and Id like too have a decent performance improvment from my 4870. If anyone have an sujestions on which one would be best, and possibly which manufactures too go with. Iv saw a HD6950 for AU$290, but its from a manufacturer called VTX3D which Iv never heard of untill now. Anyone know if thier any good? And is the 6950's any good?

I've never heard of that manufacturer before but that doesn't mean they aren't any good. The 6950 is a good card will definitely be an upgrade from your 4870. A quick google search for VTX3D says they are owned (and created) by the same corporation that owns PowerColor.

Im starting to think maybe I should go with the 6950 from vtx, they seem quite decent, and the cards apparently good for OCing to a 6970. So How does this looks for the 290 price mark?

Looks good to me, you may want to measure your case though since those graphics cards are rather long.
