Recently i bought a new video card off of ebay: Nvidia Geforce 9800gt 1gb. When i inserted it in my motherboard i turned on the pc and there was 1 long beep and 3 short beeps and the screen was blank (wasnt responding) i know the card isnt faulty as i have tried it elsewhere, could it be that i need to reset my BIOS? or update it? Has anyone experienced this and if so what solutions can you advise. My mobo is: Asus M2V.

Have you put the 4-Pin power connector into the graphics card?

One long three short is a RAM error code. One long two short is a video card error code.
