[QUOTE="FelipeInside"] IMO CoD's SP campaigns are still great....dakan45

I do enjoy them but compared to COD1, UO and even COD2 they kind of let me down in some ways, not to mention how cheap Veteran can be.:P

Right, because killing a bazzilion of nazis in cod2 with no sense of story or actually point or objective, made such a good singleplayer experiance. Might as well get points and rank up like in duty calls "super mega sergeant shooter person of the halo masterchiefs...ULTIMATE"

At least it was lengthy and fun.:D

COD hasn't shown a reason to pay $60 per game, or $15 per map pack... (but many people do... Ignorant people doing Ignorant things)

I havn't bought a COD game full price since COD4. I sure as hell do not see a reason to pay a subscription fee, espeically since every COD game since Modern Warfare 1, has had consistantly worse optimization that the one before it...

World at war (slightly unoptimized, but understandable it was much larger)

Modern Warefare 2 (unoptimized)

Black ops (unoptimized to the point that it is a broken product for 2 platforms)

At this rate, the next game will cost $60, have add ons that are $15 and $20 a piece. Also a subscription fee, as well as being even more Broken than Black OPs.

I disagree with that line (although I agree with the $15 Map Pack).

CoD (since CoD4) have given me a great SP campaign and then countless hours of MP entertainment.... (and I pay $80-$100 for it)

They upped the price of the game so they don't need to make it subscription based. Plus a lot of casual gamers play it daily so they will want to keep it as simple as possible.

I think they might use a subscription fee, and the sad thing is millions of people will still play it. The only way I would ever pay a monthly fee for an FPS is:

1: Very good dedicated servers

2: All bugs, glitches and other stuff patched very quickly

3: New maps, weapons, content continually being released

I wouldn't buy it but I voted "NO" because I am no fan of subscriptions.

What i am saying is that i like linear fps who pay for for their linearity with something else appart from shooting identical enemies all over again. Such as varied objectives or jumping, or good moments in story, or scary moments. Cod2 is aim and shoot at the respawning nazis. No story, no memorable moments in campaign.

I would argue with memorable moments..... But same could be said about Plants vs Zombies (holding off hordes of zombies, linear campaign, not much story), yet it is one hell of a FUN game.... That was my side of the point anyway.

CoD will become the new Guitar Hero for Activision, they'll start milking it so much that it will slowly star fading away into oblivion. Even more if they even consider making it PtP.

PvZ was a bad example. In PvZ you can tackle each level in a variety of different ways.

I think I'm just about COD worn out. That last one was such a let down for me. And knowing the lead designers from IW are gone doesn't help. So a subscription service would ensure we'd be seeing other people! It was fun while it lasted! Good bye ol' girl! We've had a lot of good memories!

To everything, turn, turn, turn...
