20GB of RAM? If your board supports crossfire, then go for it, however you will need a new PSU for that. Perhaps get an SSD for the OS...

I think an SSD would be pretty sweet, don't really see what else in terms of upgrades would be practical.

I would suggest getting an SSD. Or another GPU and PSU to Crossfire/SLI.

First get a better PSU, no 500watt Coolermaster is a reliable unit

Go for a Corsair CX750m, a fantastic PSU at a great price.

2x8GB and 1x4GB, or 3x4GB and 1x8GB, or 2x2GB and 2x8GB= 20GB

Also I would get a ssd because isnt the WD Greens just recommended for storage because they are slow and usually cheaper or if you are happy with the storage and its performance maybe get another GB HD 7950 along with a good PSU highly recommend something like Corsair AX750, HX 750, or Seasonic X750

And here I was thinking that Ram sticks needed to be the same in both memory and speed :S

Why do you feel the need to upgrade ? (most games are running on 3+ year old engines so I don't understand why your even asking if you main components need upgrading).

You're asking this in a forum where people frequently upgrade because they want to, not because they need to... :P Anyhow going for crossfire would make sure he would at least with GPU horsepower last a long time into this coming gen.

20gb of ram is counter productive if all your doing is gaming at 12gb your losing 1 - .2 fps in many games using a lot of popular engine (cryengine 2, unreal engine 3, crystal engine as examples) and lord knows what 20 fps is doing to you

The Ram combination is 3X4GB + 1X8GB
Actually I wanna be sure that my PC will last at least 4 more years without the need for upgrading ; I want it to last longer than the next Gen of consoles PS4 for an example .
I alwways had the mid range cpu-gpu combination that only lasted for a couple of years thats why Im so keen on getting a solid gaming setup that will last for years

Do you just game? Do you record at all? edit photo or video? What kind of monitor and peripherals do you have? All depends on what you do with the system.

Before anyone says that won't run in dual channel, I have inserted different numbered sticks in random slots on new boards and cpu-z still reported dual channel. I'm not sure what they did but seems to work just fine.

(I was using 3x4gb + 1x2 gb)

Depending on how much money you have, go for a 3930k

That will last much longer than anything else.
