Help, i recently installed a ATI 4870 Graphics card but no sound can be heard. In fact, the only sound device it says active is the HDMI, not even the Line-in devices. Everything is smooth but the sound, which I cant find any possible solution except download drivers, which i believed i check for the lastest ones. Figures, its with a Windows Vista computer, but i need help please.

Thanks

well, you use your get you onboard sound active. Because the New ATI cards HD 2000 to 4000 provide sound and video. so you must use onboard sound. I had a the same issue with the ATI Radeon 2600 pro.

Yeah the radeon's HDMI sound must be trying to override it.
