I have used Norton before I like it, so I am going to recommend that, but you seriously need to think about using Microsoft Security Essentials. Its perhaps the best antivirus/anti spyware I have seen to this day. Very light on the system resources.

Think about it.

Neither. Get Avast! Antivirus. Heres the link: http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download

ITS FREE. And does a great job. Even has a game mode. I use it myself and have it on all my computers. Updates every day AND tells you.

If your getting a free anti-virus (which you should as paying is almost pointless for nearly all users) then get one of these:

Avast - Uses a tiny amount of RAM and is very fast

Microsoft Security Essentials -Uses a tiny amount of RAM and is very fast (only use if you have genuine windows though)

Avira - The best of these 3 for picking up virus's but has pop-ups which will minimize you games,,,so not the best for a gamer.

DONT USE: AVG, Norton, McAfee!!! They are all bloated, badly engineered pieces of ****!

The popups from Avira can easily be stopped :).....and it is a good one.

Antivirus software questions belong in PC Hardware Discussion. PC & Mac Games is for games discussions specifically. Many thanks. :)
