I owned both an Nvidia and now an ATi, I like ATi cards better. Even when playing games that were "Optimized for Nvidia" or "Optomized for ATi" I didn't see a big performance change even with the cards little special graphics options turned on in game. It's all a matter of preferance. :P

I prefer ATi because I've had less performance issues than with nVidia.

My last couple card have been Nvidia. I did like my ATi, just had some frustration with drivers. Nvidia just seemed to always be on top with drivers. If that meant me paying a little more for a card...so be it. Time isn't free these days, I dont have time to spare messing with drivers.

Nvidia = Drivers and Game Support. ATI = Better Quality and Cheaper.

They're both excellent brands... I've preferred NVIDIA for years, but I've been looking at ATI for a while, especially since my new rig has a motherboard that only supports Crossfire.
