Damn video cards are getting HUGE. I wonder if it comes with a retention kit?.. I like my motherbaord to stay unbroken.. and I'd rather my PCIe slot not be ripped off.. Hell my 9600GT sags a little and its not even that big! They might as well start making video cards go into drive bays.

Is it just me, or does everyone find those pics to be very appealing? :D:D

I may be upgrading to one of these in a few months if those internal benchmarks turn out to be true.

Finally a TRI-SLI that has potential.

By the way it's 50% faster than 9800GX2, and twice as hot too.

Can't remember where i heard it but 1000W+ psu is the recommended power. Correct me if I'm wrong but if you are building a next gen system with all new powerful parts you would probabaly have one anyway

If it is going to cost 650 US, thats like 840 or so at the current exchange rate, but of course it will get marked up here. It wouldnt surprise me if it goes for less than 1000 on release which is more than i can say for the 8800 gtx *cough 1000+*

This is just wrong. The prices really dont justify the performance. I mean....$650 for a GPU! I'm happy with my 8800GT AlphaDog ed.

Wowzers, $650. That's $50-100 more then I payed for my entire system. Hopefully it will knock some prices down a little bit on some other cards when it comes out.

Why is everybody so surprised at the price, LOL. Where have you all been. This is PC HARDWARE, right?, LOL

Me personally, I can't afford it, but if by some unlikely chance things go like they did with the 8800GTX, over a year before anything can really challenge it, then it will be well worth for the people buying it.

Im suprised because its not fitting the trend in PC hardware prices. RAM is at an all time low, you can get a quad core now for like $220, HDD are lower than they have been in awhile, you can get a pretty kick ace MOBO for cheap now(my board was $125 and its the best boar dI have bought and has won awards on hardware sites and newegg). Plus look at the prices for cards right now. You can get a 9800GX2 now for around $450, the 9800GTX is less than $300 now, the 8800 series ranges from $155 to $250. Then when I see these next two cards from Nvidia its not really fitting the pattern that hardware has been going.

So this is why I think ATI is going to win this next battle. There more than likely going to have a better price to performance ratio. I dont know this is just me ans this is what I feel.

The 9800GTX and the 9800GX2 are nothing new, just reworks of the old 8 series.

How much was DDR2 when it first came out, how much was DDR3 when it first came out?

How much was that quad core when it first came out.

Nvidia will come out with a mid-range ??GT240?? something equivalent to the modern 8800GT/9600GT in price to performance. These are just the BRAND NEW, top of the line card. Nothing new, or unseen in these prices.
