basically there there are a lot of tech specs but all i need to know is that that according to nvidia it will be a 5x improvement over Pascal, in peak teraflops, and 15x improvement over the Maxwell architecture, launched two years ago.

it gonna be all about the 2080ti and the titan xxxxppp in 2018

tech details at https://www.techpowerup.com/233187/nvidia-announces-its-volta-based-tesla-v100 and http://wccftech.com/nvidia-volta-gv100-gpu-tesla-v100-architecture-specifications-deep-dive/

GV100 won't be used in gaming cards. 815mm2 die size. That's huge. Extremely huge. Some 200mm2 more than GP100.

Gotta wait a few more years for that to happen.

I knew the Gaming GPUs for Volta wouldn't be out until 2018.

Currently enjoying my 1080ti and will most likely skip next gen.

Exactly! Don't worry your card has A LOT of life left in it.

BTW that's not a gaming GPU and I heard it'll be around $5000 - $6000. GeForce Volta cards won't be out until next year at the very least.

pci-e version of the tv 100. its a data center gpu, definitely not a gaming card its for supercomputers, my mistake, this would have been awesome for enthusiast gaming. no more sli, then again this volta card in 4x sli though

If there's a gaming Volta card that was so powerful... well... I'd have to sell my 1080 and buy it along with a new 4K monitor :p

I don't think there is a CPU good enough to keep that card fed. :P

You're right and I definitely would not spend $600+ on a CPU. That's already pushing... I usually don't spend over $350 on a CPU.
