I play on Vista Home Premium 32 bit, Oblivion's been running great since 2007. The only problems I have is a very rare (like it happend about twice this year) crash in game, and a crash when I exit the game. The later one is no problem because I exit so I don't care if it crashes.
Yeah, ask the fanboys if vista is great, what answer do you expect
No vista is still broken and you can add 50 or 100 % on the demand of resources on your comp in exchange for what, gadgets, well terrific
What does that mean?
That means if a game requires 1 gb of ram to run on XP it will require 1,5 gb or 2 gb of ram on vista - true story
It's no like 1 gb of ram makes any difference when running a game is it?
So in short, vista is like driving your car around with bricks in the truck
Furthermore - Vista still has major compatibility issues, just check a look around any pc forum and count the number of threads called "vista and x-game"
Thanks, this has been quite helpful, but I am guessing that the player-modded creations will not work? They were the main reason I bought the game in the first place for PC (I have PS3 version), and I want to know if it is worth me creating a dual-boot system (with XP) in order to run Oblivion on?AmorousDeadGuyMods work fine on Vista. Dual-booting is not necessary.

but I am confused- It seems that different users have had different results when running oblivion on their Vista machine, and, after checking numerous websites, and threadsAmorousDeadGuylol I always think these threads are funny. The reason that different users have different results with Vista is because Vista was never the problem. The problem is something else in their setup (probably driver related). I run oblivion fine on vista and neverhad any problems with mods. I certainly would try it before you go to the trouble of creating a dual boot for 1 game.

I installed oblivion today and it works fine- so It is safe to say that user mods will work too! (fingers crossed)
