Hi....

after a lot of failed attempts, searching and testing i've found out what makes my motherboard fail to Overclock...

i tried overclocking my Q6600 from 2.4GHz to 2.5GHz and did all the option right...i set the voltege to 1.30 so i can make sure it won't fail...then after rebooting my cpu reached Thermal threshold....so i checked the pc health page, what i saw was :

CPU Temp : 64C

CPU Voltege : 1.50 !!!!

so the wierd thing is that i've set the CPU V to 1.30 and it was automaticaly set to 1.50...so my Q is, how could i fix this problem and set my CPU Voltege to 1.30 or any other setting ?

btw my motherboard is GA-P35-DS3L with F8 bios (up to date)

2GB Reaper 1066MHz ram

Q6600

thx in advance....

And how would that keep his voltage at 1.3 where he set it, instead of jumping to 1.5 for no reason?

GLA300, contact Gigabyte and see what they say, I doubt anyone here will be able to help with this.

It's probably one the motherboard's feature. Check in the instruction manual or on the website for features concerning overclocking and voltages.
