Loved it. The game looks great, and did not slow down even a tiny bit on my computer maxed out at 1680*1050. Runs much better then Supreme Commander.

The game plays almost exactly like the original game if you still remember it. Everything builds from the construction yard, and is deployed almost instantly once its been built. When buildings are destroyed a few gunman are left behind, you need to build Silos to store excess tiberium, etc. Honestly, its a updated original C&C. Not much more to say. Get the demo now!

I cannot express how well this game runs though. The game loads before you even finish reading the first sentence of your briefing.

Also Jennifer Morrison is one of the actors in the game. Im not gonna lie, i Laughed out Loud when i saw her.

I think it definately improves upon the Command and Conquer games. For C&C its great. Its got great voice acting for the units and infantry are now in squads instead of individual units. The tanks look pretty. They even have a sweet infantry unit that can jumpjet around and use a particle weapon. They finally gave GDI worthwhile defenses: the sonic cannon is just like the oblisk of light. No more component towers (I didn't like component towers any way). Also you can build more than one of each build structure and build 1 unit at a time for each building. Pretty smart actually. Its the first time you've been able to do something like this in a 'true' command and conquer game. The game is organized pretty well. I think the people who say they don't like it are just not used to the whole build a base from a structure model. I will probably get this game. Its definately worth it.

Disambiguity: you can build more than one building at a time. You can also build more than one unit at a time.

Never been a fan of the tiberium series-but I can't wait to give it a try. Been playing supreme commander since first week it was in beta till I bought the game last week and still loving it. Hope it rocks.

I think its great,i love the crane feature and i like the UI alot.It brings back the good C&C gameplay and brings some units with abilities which is great. The game has really fast loading times and it ran without no lag on full settings.Another good thing was i didn't noticed any major bugs yet.So far that i can tell EA did a good job of bring C&C back to its roots.

I'm liking it better than Supreme Commander... the load times are insanely quick... I'm shocked at how fast it loads... I've never seen a game that looks as good as this load this quickly.... its even faster than Warcraft III

Only thing they could've added to make it better was Company of Hero's cover system. Otherwise this is what got me into RTSs!

Just finished downloading it a few hours ago....(Fileplanet works great...much better than GS).

The game looks fantastic and runs very smooth with all setting maxed out at 1680 x 1050 res. I was very impressed, especially after playing SC the last few days....I love that game also but had to dumb down the settings to eable it to run smoother. I've played C & C Generals and Zero Hour, liked them both and I find a lot of improvement with C&C 3 when comparing them. I was really floored how well this game looks, plays and runs, I'll be looking forward to it's released next month.............8)

Anyone know if this game can take advantage of multi core cpu's like core2duo or quad core,it would be a shame if it only used single core.

I don't understand what is going on. I've downloaded the demo from file planet as well as file shack, both times when the setup starts up it says myst 5 revelation and then requires me to put in a disk to continue? I would of gotten off of the EA Link thing but when you try to sign up the one thing that is most important the "security code" image doesn't load no matter how many times it loads.

So I guess the basic question is what is going on?

I canceled my pre order :( I am so disappointed in this game :( it really is just a remake of a very old game. Sorry I'm not going to bend over for EA and pay 50 bucks for a remake with new graphics, no way! And I don't think any of you should either, think about it EA does this time and time again, they look at their fans as little retarded chimps, chimps that are genetically mutated and are half cows so they can milk them to death. Then they go buy some new franchises and do the same. It is sickening really. Anyone who pays money for this crap and doesn't own the real innovators like Company of Heroes doesn't deserve to be a PC Gamer.

I really enjoyed the game... I couldn't stand Tiberian Sun back in the day but I've been playing this for hours and I really really like it... The load times are like 10 seconds or less... now that shows how well put together this game is and how optimized it is. If hope EA keeps releasing great games like this.

Dude, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.Don't mean to sound cliche but sometimes that adage is right on the money. We haven't had a quality new C&C since RA2.This is a quality C&C game.Well worth the money.

Did you play the Demo? Well go ahead and play Company of Heroes then. This is much more than a remake. I don't want to insult you or get sensored so I'll make this as calm as possible. In my opinion this game improves upon a great setup. You have the ability to build more than one building, unit at once. You use the same controls as the past command and conquer games. They have great voice acting for units and a great cast. Loading times are quick. This game is fun to play. Easy computers aren't that easy. Normal computer players are actually competitve.

You know, I cant help but feel the same way as the other guy. I feel as though this game is about 5 years old. Sure, its got nice new graphics and all, but honestly... The gameplay feels exactly like Tiberian Sun for the most part. Its the same old formula. Maybe I've been spoiled by SupCom, but the inability to queue buildings... Seriously wtf? I know, I know, its classic C&C, but seriously. Sometimes you need to add something to the old formula. There really is no strategy in the demo at all. No rock, paper, scissors system that I have seen. Overall, very disappointing. I'm expecting GS to give this one a mid 7 overall.

Didn't take long for anti-EA trolls to start coming out of the woodwork. I guess I'll have to live the rest of my life knowing Sir Wrinkles thinks I don't deserve to be a PC Gamer. That's tough, man. Yeah. Anyway. Oh, and "I canceled my pre-order" thing is real cute too. It's becoming a real hit.

The fact is, EA publishes great games on occasion, and this certainly looks to be one of them. Now, if only their online support moved on from Gamespy to something like Bnet (which I think is supposed to happen for C&C), then I'll be real happy.

And Grace Park is hot.

I played it, sort of meh. Tiberian Sun is much better. My comp isnt great so it lagged when i turned up some of the settings (I have an athlon 64bit 3200+ running at ~2.00 Ghz with 1024 meg of Ram and GeForce FX 5200). From what i have played it is alright. I much much much prefer the orig. I'm going to hold out on buying this until i get a better graphics card. Love the cutscenes. Is the chick the same person who plays the chick in house? Great overall.

there is something better than queuing... its called building 5 buildings at once... why would you need to queue if you can build 5 at once? and if you think there is no strategy... turn the AI on Brutal and try to win... its damn near impossible... I can't last more than 10 minutes with it on hard... you NEED a strategy if you are going against a brutal comp or its going to kick your ass in a matter of minutes.

Sir Wrinkles does have a point. Company of Heros was an amazing game, which clearly raised the bar to the next level. While C&C III is good, it does not raise the bar any higher. All it does is bring back memories of the original game.

I just played the demo and I like what I see. Sure it's not as "strategic" as SupCom, but I still do like this new CC. Both Games have their own personality to them and thats a good thing. It gives gamers more choice. I kinda got used to playing SupCom so I kept trying to scroll out full extent while I was playing this CC3 demo lol. My modest rig struggles to run SupCom at just medium settings so I was expecting the same with CC3, but to my surprise everything ran smooth at maxed out settings and 1920x1200 res =D (machine specs: AMDX23800,1Gig Ram, 7900GT) Yea that Asian broad looks dalicious. Also I see Sawyer from the show Lost. All in all, it looks like a pretty entertaining game. I'll be getting it when it comes out.

I am not an RTS fan...too fast paced for my taste...

But I am happy to hear that the game is well optimized. The thing I fear with EA is they tend to release buggy games for the PC...

But from the sound of it...everything seems optimized...

Hopefully Crysis will be as optimized.

This is an opinion of mine and i'm someone who absolutely hates EA but loves the C&C series, I refuse to give EA any of my money I feel they don't deserve it until they get their act together. I had extremely low expectations from EA doing a good job on this game, I had higher expectation for Supreme Commander and this is from a diehard C&C fan.

I load up Command & Conquer 3 for the first time and see a well done teaser/intro, but then i think to myself negatively "well EA is all flash and no substance so we'll so how this goes." I go straight to the options there and crank up the quality settings to max just to see how well it runs, after unfortunately running Supreme Commander poorly I half expected this game to run the same despite running on the Sage Engine. I start up the campaign not expecting much but it turns out to be a well presented intro video to the campaign, I actually felt nostalgic remembering past C&C experiences watching the story unfold on the W3N News and seeing Kane yet again. It is apparent this is a big budget game with a quite the cast, that is expected from EA but that isn't what makes it good it actually feels like like im going to play C&C yet again.

"Well done EA you actually got the videos right atleast, but how well is the gameplay because that's what counts" I think to myself, still trying to not get my hopes up just to be dissapointed. So the game loads up and I am amazing on how fast this game loads, I mean I know they are trying to bring back the C&C feel but it's almost like they brought back the loading times from the original Tiberian Dawn also, that's how fast this game loads. After being shocked at the loading times i'm thrown right into the middle of the action with GDI vs. NOD all over again, The graphics are quite impressive I must say and the game runs smooth as butter and I have a midrange computer. With the sidebar back but with a much cleaner look it is much welcome.

I've never seen such a polished game in quite a while and this is coming from an EA game(did hell freeze over?). I won't spoil anything from the demo but I actually feel like i'm playing C&C all over again, even the skirmish was quite fun I was defeated by the hard computer, it may be because I was still checking things out but they wiped the floor with me using sneaky and annoying tactics. Those of you looking for a revolutionary new RTS may be dissapointed but that isn't what I look for in C&C I relied on SC for that and despite what you may think I was quite dissapointed with SC. It's like that saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." which applies to C&C3 in many ways. Overall I still have my grudge against EA, but this is one game I must pick up and if EA keeps up good work like this they just may change my view of them(maybe).

To the peeps who say Company Of Heroes raised the bars and revolutionarized RTS and all that crap, have you played the Dawn of War series?

The improvement from DoW to CoH is about the same as TS to TW.

Really nice demo. It's been a very long time since we've had a good C&C game.

CnC3 doesn't innovate like Relic's games (Dawn of War, Company of Heroes) nor is it as impressive graphically or gameplay wise. However, it's still a good game worth checking out. It's a very traditional RTS similar to the old school CnC's and Starcraft, with a few updates courtesy of Relic thrown in. What I like about it is the old school approach to the storytelling and atmosphere, grabs me the way Starcraft did. This will probably be worth buying. I mean, it will be one of the only PC games released in 2007 worthy of mention anyway.

Welp, it sounds like SC wants too much from a computer so it seems that C&C3 will sell quite a few copies...

C&C 2 was awful.

I am def. getting it.

Anyone who pays money for this crap and doesn't own the real innovators like Company of Heroes doesn't deserve to be a PC Gamer.SirWrinkles

I agree. I played ALL the command and conqure games in my life and I have to say this is my least favorite. It's just because its the same formula of gameplay. The graphics arnt very good. But there are at least very fast loading times!:)

Loved it.  I have 2 preordered.  I can't wait to scratch the surface of this game!  I jumped into Skirmish right off the bat and whipped the PC on medium.  I think I need to do the Tutorial now for harder AI!

Yeh i had it maxed out on 1600 by 1200 without slow downs with my x1950xtx.

However the game does look dated IMO, still feels more 2d than 3d.
