No. Expect performance right around or just below the 4670 in this test.

Average 20 fps with an 8800 gt on 1600*1050 according to that chart on max. I guess I'll have to tweak and find the best settings for performance/visuals. Also my CPU(Q9300) and ram(DDR2-800 mhz) are weaker than the test setup PCGH is using. Even if it is not maxed, it should look sick on any settings high+. Hopefully new drivers and patches will help too.nightwraith40k

Keep in mind they're using 4X AA and 4X AF in the 1680x1050 benchmark.

When its all said and done im sure farcry2 wont be as hard on peoples system as crysis.

Any estimate on the comp in my sig? I aced Crysis on ultra high with 30+ frames w/o AA or anything above a 1280x1024 res. Im hoping to do FC2 with similer settings of possible.Divine_Dragon02

Well, i think an 8600 would be able to run far cry 2 on high but not at resolutions more than 1280x768. Personally i have an 8600 gt and i reckon i will be able to run it on high but as i said before not at very high resolutions which isn't that much of a problem since my moniter isn't that big anyways and i'm fine playing at lower resolutions as long as the video quality is atleast half decent. b0se

I have a 8600GT as well, but mine is 256MB. Also, is there any difference between GT or GTS?

not maxing it out on PC can still mean better performance and settings than the 360. Keep that in mind.
