I bought a 4890 1 year ago and now that these new graphic cards are out I was wondering how long this card can last. I would like to know what games will profit of these new new card.

Don't worry too much I have a 4890 too, it was the best ati card of the fourth generation, and it's still going strong.

of couse you're going to see newer better cards pop up in the coming months, but unless tomorrow all games uses DX11 you don't have to worry.

if the 4890 still works great for you and play the games you want at the resolution you want it's ok

eventualy I will get a DX11 card but right now and in the near future its an ok card.

You can still hold onto it for quite a while, I don't see anything in the future that's really gonna make you push your card enough that you will have to tone down some settings.

I'm running an HD 4870 and doing pretty well... It's about a year old by now though.
