console ports suck ballz for pc and game developers are getting lazy due to people like this who buy loads of games only to get pissed off, complain to the devs bro, maybe they will listen ahaha ok no they wont but u can tell them what up by not buying every game out there, i never buy games when they are released, there too expensive for one and all the hype is just mind control, read more reviews amigo. i as well was extremely disapointed in the avp demo, that would of been the first game I preordered since... uh.. well... it would of been my first actually but after playing the demo i realized thats not the game for me, sure i wouldnt mind playing it but im not gonna pay more that 20$ for some **** console port, all the lame action that u cant even control, it was all about timing and crap, animations when i jump on a ledge with the marine, and animations when i jump around with the predator??? that **** suks!! the aien is the only one that felt smooth in movement and thats only cause i turned on the auto wall walk thingy. the melee is pretty lame too, its got a lagg time to it that sucks, i mean when i hit the damn button i want it to do it, not wait a 1/2 second and then do it with some lame animation which basically halts my movement at the same time. oo yea and when your a marine and an alien is slashing you you get a nice lag pause animation knock backl effect retardo thing where u cant fire your gun or melee it off you, its like a lame timing event game. idk imagine playing a shooter where you engage in a gun battle and say you get shot and because you were hit you unable to fire for a few seconds because idk some lame crap. that is why TF2 on the PC rocks!!!ekultus

I agree, all games should be the same. Timing and depth for melee should be forbidden. Stunning enemies is an abomination. We should not, I repeat should not even try to adapt to different rules.

I expected that someone will say that;) What about assasin's creed? It was very repettive too, for me perhaps more than far cry 2, still the game sold millions, not as many people hated as far cry 2! Therefore that was not the case!

Are you serious right now? I know a lot of people who hated AC because it was repetitive, and it still gets flak even today.

From my epxeriance many people like the game, farrrr more than the people who liked far cry 2. If you make a thread about far cry 3, you will get 95% hate comments but if you make a threa about assasin creed 2 you will see only a 25% hate, but i guess thats about to change thanks to the new ubisoft drm and 60 bucks price tag on AC2!

Get back on topic, the discussion is regarding unfinished games, not who likes what better, because it's repetitive etc. The OP was regarding unfinished games, being all eye candy and having technical issues or lack of dedicated servers etc. An example of an OK game for me was Crysis, nice graphics, but the online gameplay sucked, however it was a finished product. I tend to enjoy single player more on COD4, COD5, MW2 and Crysis etc. So what I'm getting at is the technical letdowns of the games these days, which hinder a nice finished product. I'm playing Warhammer 40K: DOW 2 demo, I actually like this! It looks good, it plays nice, it's a finished product! THQ do have some nice completed products under their belt.

The SP of Dawn of War 2 has about 6 maps that repeat over and over again, plus about another 6 maps for more important story moments. It's very repetitive. I love the combat and the loot is nice, but it's exactly the type of game you'd put in your OP.

On the other hand the MP is very solid, they gave us tons of free content and when the expansion launches, all new maps, units and items except the Chaos faction and the new campaign will be available for free for the original game.

Well in that case crysis was unfinished!!;) I remember the gameplay mechanics tweaks they made in patch 1.2? They fixed many stuff such as the problem that cloak mode does not run out while climbing a ladder? Also how they decreased the amount of damage the player causes to the ai in order to balance the game? Anyway i did not said that to bash crysis, I am only pointing out that many games out there have many letdowns on the technical aspect and the real reason is that games nowadays are so complex with som many things into them that there are way too many things that can go wrong and lack polish. Thats why i pointed crysis, the game has so many technical aspects that crytek did not have enough time to test the game completly and make sure that everything was in order and worked as well as they wanted it to work. For example in l4d the gamedevelopers took their time in order to test the game with friends and change things that were not balanced correctly. For example in the past the pipebomb did not attract the zombies, so everyone used the molotov instead. Anyway thats what i am saying, games are so advanced nowadays that gamedevelopers can finish everything. Ofcourse there are games that taking many years in development and they turn out very well done, but still they lack something. So at the end they cant finish everyhing in the game!
